ways to approach 21st-century learning.

and guidance. Awaken your inner explorer
and embark on an adventure with the
largest global education network.

The Adventurer
A new adventure is on the horizon, and
your mission is to explore the potential
of technology in education. Bold, brave,
and eager to seize the day, you’re prepared
to begin a blended learning journey.
With Edmodo’s global education network
supporting you along the way, you couldn’t
be more excited for the road ahead.

Start Your Journey by Signing Up for Edmodo.
To set off on your trek: 1. Create a teacher account. Available online, iOS, Android, Windows, creating an Edmodo account is free for teachers, students, and parents. 2. Identify your school. Every explorer has a home base. Tell us where yours is located and find other adventurers like you! 3. Complete your profile. Upload a photo, share your backstory, and begin your journey with our global community. 4. If your school has Microsoft Office 365 or Google Accounts, you can also sign up with these credentials. Now you have access to everything you need to explore Edmodo’s rich platform and discover new teaching frontiers.

Create Online Groups.
Bring your classroom on your journey: 1. Click Create a Group in the Groups column on your Edmodo homepage. 2. Enter a Group name, grade level, and subject area. 3. Repeat for as many Groups as you’d like; there’s no limit to the learning on Edmodo. Groups are a great way to get your classroom connected and increase sharing, engagement, participation, and self-expression— all in a private, closed setting.
Invite Group Members.
Students and parents can join your adventure: Group CodeA unique, six-character code that automatically adds students to its respective Group. Codes lock in 14 days (but can still be used as a join request) to make sure the members of your expedition are up for the challenge. Join URL A one-of-a-kind web address that gives you complete control over which students get added to a Group. URLs never change and allow you to moderate and approve individual requests to join. Parent CodeA unique code that links parents to a particular student to give them visibility into what’s happening in the classroom. Parent accounts help make sure whatever you teach during the day gets reinforced at night. Whichever way you decide to recruit, you can use each method to help students sign up for Edmodo, have students join from an existing account, or invite families to download the Edmodo for Parents app for iPhone or Android.

The Climber
It takes a team to climb a mountain. You’ve
established base camp and the gang is
ready to summit the next technology
hurdle. Not only do you have the right gear
to scale, but you and your fellow climbers
have learned to share and communicate.
With Edmodo’s tools for collaboration,
your team is ready to reach new heights.

Connect with other explorers on Edmodo Topics.
Explore topics that are relevant to you: Ask our global community for help finding resources for your lessons.Instead of searching for lesson material, in, say, the Math Community, you can use Topics to locate information about a particular sub-subject, such as Algebra.
Answer questions and contribute your expertise. Did you experience a “win” during a unit or discover a discipline- related tip? You can share this information in a Topic and ensure that your post reaches peers with similar interests.
Follow topics (or create your own!) on things that matter most to you.You can explore all the Topics on Edmodo by selecting “Show all” in the Topics column on the left-side panel of your homepage.
