EFA-Education for All

• The World Declaration on Education For All affirmed, assembled in Jomtien, Thailand, from 5 to 9 March, 1990 : “Every person - child, youth and adult - shall be able to benefit from educational opportunities designed to meet their basic learning needs.”

Education for all means:

• Expand early childhood care and education

• Provide free and compulsory education of good quality

• Promote the acquisition of life-skills adolescents and youth.

• Increase adult literacy rates.• Eliminate gender disparities in education • Enhance educational quality.

Movement for Education in Nepal

Conduct awareness programmes from grassroot/community to different levels through media, street drama etc.

Parenting Education

• Educate/Aware parents about prenatal and post natal care, biological development of the baby before and after the birth.

• Child development and learning process.• Nutrition/physical/Phsycological and

intellectual development• Effect on socialization, and its positive and

negative impact on long term basis.

Establishment of ECED(Early Childhood educational develoment

centres)

• Should be opened in the initiation of concerned stakeholders.

• Encourage/be able to convience parents to send their children in ECED.

• Teaching on holistic development of social, cognitive, physical and mental development.

School Enrollment Programmes• “Welcome to school” programmes by UNICEF/MOE/DOE/DEO

• Free education with educational materials till highschool for deprived group( kamalari,dalit scholorships)

• Scholorship for girls of remote sectors(Achham/Doti WFP working areas)to increase enrollment.

• Awareness for enrollment through pamplets/Jingles and public support awareness programmes(PSI).

• Non formal education-

• Mobilisation of local resources.

Teaching &learning methods/ Infrastructure of schools

• Concept on nonvoilence teaching,learn without fear,child friendly teaching and learning having no disparity with ethnic,unpriviledged group.

• Child friendly schools.• 05years, School Improvement Plan(SIP)• Childfriendly, gender friendly classrooms toilets etc.• Women teacher is must in school.

Monitoring and Evaluation

Monitoring and evaluation of each level of activities by concerned stakeholders:

• By making visits.• Review/reflection on quaterly or monthly.• Forming statical data and regular updation• Mid term review-status of goal/achivement of

objectives reccomendations.• Final evaluation- Outcomes and \

reccomendation for future.

Policy and Legal Framework

• Formulation of National Plan of Action.• Formulation of Act and regulations.• Enforcement for its implementation.• Modification as per the changing social context.• Making accountable to dutybearers through
