Thoughts From Student of the Month and Teacher of the Year!!!

Na’Quavious Boone – Student of the Month “I like being a student of the month because it is fun that you will be recognized and it is also hard work to be a student of the month. You got to be good and listen to the teacher and you get awards for all the hard work.”Mrs. Tonya Hedgepeth – Teacher of the Year 2014 – 2015 “Thank you for the nomination for Teacher of the Year. It means so much to have the educational respect of your colleagues. It takes hard work and dedication to do what we do and to do it well. I accredit my successes to the foundations that Pittman Elementary staff has given me. We truly are family here. I have loved teaching since I was a little girl playing with my siblings and friends. Now that I am no longer playing, I love teaching because it gives me the opportunity to make a difference in so many children’s lives. I am happy when a student says “ You are a great teacher or you inspired me to go to college. That’s more gratifying than anything!.”
