When complete, you will be able to travel to any participating eduroam institution and use their network. For more information on eduroam global, visit eduroam.org. Join eduroam @ USF – the university’s secure Wi-Fi network and enter your credentials one time only. When complete, you will be able to travel to any participating eduroam institution and use their network. For more information on eduroam global, visit eduroam.org. The purpose of this process is to:

• Simplify registration for the eduroam global network and provide for troubleshooting if needed • Removes any unnecessary USF network profiles • Adds required annual security certificates • Provides reminders of certificate expiration

Connecting to eduroam via any other method, such as manually, will not provide you with these benefits. Step 1. Verify connectivity to an existing USF Wi-Fi network. When joining the new eduroam @ USF network, you must be connected to an existing USF network such as ‘USF’ or ‘USF-Gold’. Step 2. Complete online sign up

A: visit http://usf.edu/netconnect

The Acceptable Use Policy will appear. Read the terms and conditions, check the box indicating agreement and click Start >.

B. Two options will appear. Select the option that best describes your role at USF.

Select USF System Students and Employees network if you are a USF staff member, faculty or student.

Select USF Health network if you are affiliated with USF Health. All Health affiliates must choose this option to connect securely to Health resources within the Health buildings.

C. Log in.

USF System Students and Employees

Enter your USF NetID and password and click Continue >

USF Health System affiliates

Enter your USF Health username and password and click Continue >

Step 3. Install eduroam @ USF Android

A. Click on First, Install the App to install the Cloudpath App for android.

Cloudpath is the secure system used to configure the ‘eduroam’ installation on your device.

B. You may be given 3 choices on how to install the App. .

1. If you select Google Play you will be directed to the App Store and need to install the App.

2. When presented with the Cloudpath installer click on Accept.

3. If you select Amazon you will be directed to the Amazon App Store and need to install the App.

4. If you select available for local download you will need to open the file to install it by either selecting open from the pop up at the bottom of your phone or by going to your download folder and choosing the Cloudpath.apk file and then selecting install from the next screen.

Step 4. Configure your device

A. Click on Next, Configure your device to connect to the University of South Florida

B. Click on OK to acknowledge the message from Cloudpath.

C. Information regarding the changes which will be made during the installation will appear.

The following changes will be made to your device:

• The wireless client on your device will be configured to connect to ‘eduroam’

• 3 CA certificate(s) will be installed.

• 1 user certificate will be installed.

• Your device will be connected to the ‘eduroam’ network. Click on Continue to proceed

D. Create a screen lock code.

For security reasons Android requires a screen lock code. Click on Ok to set your lock code.

E. A security message regarding a network security warning will be displayed.

Click on Continue to proceed with the installation.

F. Click on OK to proceed with installation of security certificates. Step 5. Select the eduroam network

After a successful installation you may need to manually select the ‘eduroam’ network. Welcome eduroam @ USF!
