With 150 km of first class, well-maintained ski slopes

and a panorama of 18 4000 metre peaks, it is hard-

ly surprising that over 40000 winter sports devotees

voted Saas-Fee the best ski resort in Switzerland in

2016. Because our slopes are up to 3600 m above

sea level, we are guaranteed snow all year round.

Revolving restaurant & Ice Pavilion

We are the home of the highest revolving restaurant

in the world. Unique views of seemingly endless

mountain peaks and tasty cuisine are awaiting

visitors at 3500 metres above sea level. And that is

not all: our Ice Pavilion is another highlight on the

Mittelallalin. Don‘t miss the incredible ice cave be-

low the restaurant and experience the secrets of our

glacier up close.

Viewpoint Längfluh (2870 masl)

Nowhere else you can get as fast and as close to

the glacier like here! The views of the Fee glacier

is particularly impressive on the Längfluh. With the

gondola lift you reach this viewpoint within 20 mi-

nutes. The glacier and the peaks of the Mischabel

chain, including Switzerland‘s highest mountain, the

Dom (4545 masl), seem to be a stone‘s throw away.

Viewpoint Hohsaas (3200 masl)

From Hohsaas you have the best view on the 18

4000 metre peaks surrounding the Saas Valley - the

panorama is truly unique. We recommend taking

the theme trail „18 four-thousand-metre peaks“.

Each stop along the trail is dedicated to one moun-

tain and has a small information board on the peak.

SAAS-FEE/SAAS VALLEYThe Saas Valley is surrounded by eighteen 4000 metre peaks, which make for a breathtaking and

unique landscape of mountains and glaciers. A total of 150 kilometres of slope reaches from 3600

metres above sea level down to the villages. But you can do more than ski or snowboard here. We

offer a variety of alternative winter sports activities, such as sledging, ice climbing and cross-coun-

try skiing. In summer, 350 km of hiking trails await our guests—you can find everything from easy

walks for strolling to demanding alpine trails for experienced hikers. Saas-Fee also has a summer

ski region. From July through to fall, 20 km of slopes on the glacier is open to the public. Saas-Fee is

one of the few destinations in Europe which offer skiing in summer. This is why ski and snowboard

professionals from all over the world come to train here from July to September.

ArrivalVisitors travelling by train arrive in Visp and

change to the post bus with direction Saas-Fee.

The nearest airports are Zurich, Geneva, Basel

and Milan. The journey takes about three hours

on public transport from those airports.

Saas-Fee is also easily reachable by car. People

can leave the car in the car park at the begin-

ning of car-free Saas-Fee.

Citizens´ PassThe Citizens’ Pass is the high-value free guest card for Saas-Fee/Saas Valley.

Thanks to the citizens’ pass, all guests of our partner companies get to enjoy

numerous attractions, such as unrestricted use of the post bus throughout the

whole Saas Valley. In summer, they can use up to 10 of 11 mountain railways

free of charge with the Citizens´ Pass as of the 1st overnight.

Traditional village character

The Saas Valley consists of four authentic moun-

tain villages: Saas-Fee, Saas-Grund, Saas-Alma-

gell and Saas-Balen. Although it is the biggest and

most touristy of the four, Saas-Fee has managed

to maintain its rustic character. Here you stroll

cobblestoned alleys, bordered by centuries-old

Valaisian wooden houses and grain barns. The

original village character of all four communities

exude a special charm.

Family destination & home of the friendliest Marmots

We welcome families and offer a wide range of

activities catering to their needs. That is why

the Saas-Fee/Saas Valley region was awarded

the quality label „Family destination“ by Swit-

zerland Tourism. For instance, there are special

prices for young skiers, easy runs right beside

the village, a Kids’ Fun Park and the “Swiss

Glacier World” on the glacier. Feeding marmots

in summer is something the whole family can en-

joy and what Saas-Fee is famous for. Nowhere

else can you find such tame and trusting

marmots. But they’re not only for kids, many adult

visitors enjoy feeding and petting our friendly fur

balls.
