Perseverance:

Perseverance plays an important part in being successful in many aspects of life. Persistence is doing

something even if it is hard, difficult or takes a lot of time to achieve success. It is a virtue that we have and

use so we overcome obstacles as we try again and again.

Halfway through Term 2 and the weather is setting in and it is wet, wet, wet. Luckily the

students were not here on Friday 29 May as the staff needed their wellies and raincoats

during the downpour. We really hope our parents had an enjoyable extra long weekend,

stayed safe and dry!

Pirate Day was Friday 22 May 2020 and the school was overrun by the giggles, delights and

children with brain cancer. We joined together (but practice physical distancing) after lunch

to play ‘Shop to Shore’, joined in with a pirate quiz and some joke telling. Funds raised

through 2020 Pirate Day will be directed specifically to a study lead by Associate Professor

Wildlife Winners

by Riddhi

Hi. Today we're going to talk to you about a community group

we have started. It is called the Wildlife Winners. What we do is

help animals and wildlife.

One thing you can do to help is be waste free. How to do

that? Easy! In your lunchbox you can, instead of using cling

wrap to wrap your sandwich, use a washed cloth or wax

wrap. What you can also do is use compartments of your

lunchbox to store small snacks like fruits and vegetables. Another thing you can do is not

bringing plastic bags to the shops. All you need to do is make your own t-shirt bag.
