Our aircraft use AVGAS 100LL (Blue) Self-service fueling requires the pilot or aircraft operator to position the aircraft near the fueling

station, use care, watch your wing tips and be sure you can maneuver out of there Provide a method of payment (typically a credit card) to the automated fueling station Be sure to properly ground aircraft!! Look for ladders, if available Ask passengers to remain clear of area while fueling, turn off all aircraft electric power and ignition Follow the instructions and procedures for the automated fueling station to dispense fuel to the

aircraft Obtain a receipt from the automated fueling station, need this for flight credit Reposition the aircraft away from the fueling station to make room for other aircraft to use the

system Drain a sample from each sump Check fuel cap for security and seal

Find frost? Don’t go! No deicing capabilities

May have to prime the engine, and idle at a slightly higher rpm to warm the engine up

When using the heat, be sure to include the carbon monoxide detector in your scan more frequently

Check tires for proper inflation Be careful of icing conditions along your

planned route

EFC Flight Operations Rules: 3.5 Aircraft Discrepancies noted on preflight inspection should be immediately brought to the attention of the Maintenance Officer or his designee. The aircraft clipboard contains all information on upcoming scheduled inspections and also contains sheets to write aircraft discrepancies found during flight or on preflight. It is the pilot in command responsibility to ensure the aircraft is airworthy for flight.

Members, especially flight instructors! Please call the maintenance officer first before downing the aircraft for non-critical equipment. A five minute fix could take days if it’s downed and placed in the maintenance rotation.

Also, look to see when the aircraft is going in for a 50 hour or 100 hour. Can the discrepancy wait until then? Still alert EFC Maintenance officer though.

When scheduling, be sure to go in to Schedule Master and cancel your flight if you’re not going to go. Thank you!

Please review latest information notes on the Aspen Pro EFIS system (club website). Individuals are turning off the EFIS when the system will be left on. During pre-flight the system may not shut down completely and may require the EFIS master switch to be turned off to prevent the system from operating on emergency battery power. The switch will need to be placed back in the on position.

 

It has been brought to the attention of the club leadership that members are not adhering to the ERAU Ramp Policies. All members must review Ramp operations on the club website, under Local Operations. Please remember to walk between the tails and use the marked walkway when entering or exiting the ramp.

Yoke control lock Aileron chocks, don’t force them! Rudder lock, be sure to place the screw at

the top of the middle hinge.
