Why the need for an effective management? 

You have been elected or chosen by the Lodge.

You voluntarily accepted the position.

It is a responsibility. It is an opportunity to be of service to the

Lodge, the fraternity, and the community.

It is an opportunity to practice and apply your

leadership abilities. It is an opportunity for you to set a legacy.

You owe it to yourself and the Brethren.

  To deserve a Past Venerable Master’s Jewel.

Lodge Management can be difficult and easy.

the officers are busy

the members are not your employees

the members are not paid to do a job

the members are also busy with their work

the Lodge has limited financial resources the members meet once a month only

it is hard to contact the members

the Lodge, and is directly theresponsibility of the Presiding Master.

2. Records Management- includes the proper recording of

the minutes of meetings, specialevents or activities, safekeeping ofrecords, submission of the requiredreports to the Supreme Council,

turnover of records to the newofficers, and reservation of records.

3. Financial Management- involves the proper handling of Lodgefunds needed to support the year longactivities and projects of the Lodge. Agood financial management should endthe year with an excess cash balance.

4. Ritual Work Management

- involves the proper performance ofthe various ceremonies of the Craft.Proficiency is a must for someone tobe able to perform the rituals properly.
