ACADEMY PHYSIOTHERAPIST Wigan Athletic Football Club is looking to recruit an Academy Physiotherapist to lead the treatment and rehabilitation of injuries for the Day release Programme (U14-U16) and carry out related treatments following the required treatment programme. This is a full-time post on a permanent contract. Flexibility will be required based on the needs of the company to provide medical cover for training sessions and games. You will: Lead the Physiotherapy cover for the day release program for the U14-U16’s players and assist the Head of Academy Medicine with the Under 18’s & Under 23’s squad players. Provide physiotherapy cover for under training sessions based at Christopher Park & other Academy venues. Work in collaboration with Academy sports science staff on end stage rehabilitation programmes with injured players. The successful candidate will: •Hold a BSc degree in Physiotherapy •Be a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists (MCSP) •Demonstrate clinical experience •Have the ability to use the PMA on-line system for medical documentation. •Show a good understanding of stages of rehabilitation and exercise progression and how to apply them For further details of the role and the person specification please visit www.wiganathletic.com/club/employment and read our guidance for applicants.
