EGG DROP CHALLENGE

The Challenge

You must work in groups to design and

build a container that will hold an egg.

Your finished design will be dropped

from a height.

At the end of the eggsperiment the egg

inside must not be cracked or broken.

Instructions (~10 groups)

Each team will receive:1 Egg1 polystyrene cup(egg packet) 10 balls of cotton wool (got this)10 Straws/wooden splints 1 Sheet of Paper Scissors Cellotape 2 Elastic bands 1-2M of string per groupglue

Timing: You will have the

rest of this period and next period to design and build your egg container.

The containers will be launched at the end of next period*

Combo time:A) Bag + balloon B) 2 balloons c) 2 bags

Rules:The egg must be freely able to enter and leave your container. This means you cannot tape it to the container etc.
