Documentary Films are a source of film that records the primarily for the purposes of instruction or maintaining a historical record.

Animated Films are the rapid display of a sequence of images of 2D or 3D artwork or model positions in order to create an illusion of movement.

Musical Films are a kind of film in which songs sung by the characters are interwoven into the narrative, sometimes accompanied by dancing.

War Films are concerned with warfare. Usually about naval, air or land battles, sometimes focusing instead on prisoners of war, covert operations, military training or other related subjects.
