• Independence or National Days are the most important day for a country to celebrate as a national holiday. The majority of the countries on earth became independent after 1800 and many more following World War II when European powers granted independence to their colonial holdings, especially Africa. Egypt was declared independent on February 28, 1922 from under the British rule and it acquired full sovereignty following World War II.
