Tip: Never wash or change all the biomedia atthe same time. This would destroy the coloniesand hinder re-colonisation. For partial cleaningthe filter baskets in the external filter and the filtermodule in aquaball are ideal.

Depending on which type, chemical filter media control the pH-value and the water hardness – or reduce the phosphate level and inhibit the growth of algae.

TIP: TORF expands in water. so only rinselightly, don’t wash,before use. TORF mustbe changed after 3-6 weeks. Do not useTORF with activated carbon.
