DescriptionThe EHS 15-150 unvented (pressur-ized) wall-mounted water heater can heat potable water up to about:EHS 15-150 = 75°C to suit demand and supply a number of draw-off points. The water content is automatically heated to the preset temperature.

The device is adjusted at the works to 75°C.

Important notes: High temperatures present the risk of scalding.

– Arrange to have the wall-mounted water heater and the safety valve or safety group checked regularly by a qualified installer.– Check the fittings regularly; clean limescale off outlets using conventional commercial descaling products.

The device is under water pressure. During heating, water will drip from the safety valve for reasons of safety; if dripping continues after heating-up has concluded, contact your installer.

Risk of freezingThe device is protected against freez-ing at every temperature setting, but not the safety valve or the safety group and the water pipe.

Temperature adjustmentEHS 15 - 150The temperature adjustment may be altered by the user directly at the temperature knob.

CareA damp cloth is all that is needed for care and cleaning the outer housing. Do not use any foaming or caustic cleaning agents.

Instructions for use and installation

Keep these instructions in a safe place, and give them to the new owner if you move house; if maintanace or repair work is required, let the qualified installer have them for reference.

Fault Cause Rectification

The water discharge volume has been clearly reduced despite the water valve being opened fully

The desired temperature is not being reached.

The device is no longer heating up.

– Heating element is scalded up

A safety valve must be fitted at the cold water inlet of the unit, by a skilled installer.

Notewithregardtocopper pipes:Noconnectionsmadeof copper may be installed directly on the device. We recommend that red brass or plastic transition fittings be used as connection isolators for the pipe connections.

Electrical connection A

Electrical connection may only be carried out by a qualified installer, in accordance with these instructions.

The device is intended for fixed connection to AC mains supplies using permanently-laid connection leads.Specific national regulations are to be respected.

First fill the device completely with water, then connect the current supply. The device may not be taken into operation without water filling (see also First start-up).

First start-upOnly to be carried out by a qualified installer, in accordance with these instructions.

– Before switching on, fill the device by opening the hot water valve and flush it through thoroughly. – Monitor first heating; check to ensure that the thermo-stat switches off. – Check the safety valve or safety group for functional reliability. – The draining pipe must be kept sloping downwards and connected to the pressure release hole at the safety valve.

3. Maintenance for the qualified installer

For guarantees please refer to the respec-tive terms and conditions of supply for your country.

The installation, electrical connection and first operationof this appliance should be carried out by a qualified installer.

The company does not accept liability for any failure caused by inproper installation and / or unauthorized installers.

MaintenanceOnly to be carried out by a qualified installer, in accordance with these instructions.

When carrying out any work, disconnect the device from the electricity supply!

– Check the protective anode for the first time after six month and replace it if necessary. After replacement, the installer has to decide when next inspection is necessary.– Carry out descaling of the device only after removing the heating element. Do not treat the surface of the tank with descaling agents.– In the event of the thermal cut-out having operated (no through-flow), replace the regulator/limiter combination.– Check the safety valve or safety

group regularly.Draining the cylinderDraining can be carried out via the safety valve or through the addition-ally fitted drainage tap.

Before draining the device, disconnect the device from the electricity supply!

– Close the isolating valve in the cold water pipe.– Open all hot water valves fully at all draw-off points.– Open safety valve or drain valve.

Hot water may emerge during draining.
