• Excellent proposals invited to interviews
Latest novelties
• Cut-off 20 March
• Highest number of submitted applications: 3,883 eligible (+110%).
• Mainly due to Coronavirus (1,400 proposals), but not only.
• The Commission has proposed additional, exceptional budget for Covid-
19 related proposals.
• The Commission will fast-track implementation of the Covid19 related
proposals.
• The interviews have been re-scheduled for the week 11-20 May and may
take place on-line.
Latest novelties
• Various specific actions have been quickly deployed with impressive positive
response from the community of researchers and innovators.
• ‘Coronavirus research and innovation’ website contains all the past and
upcoming opportunities.
• Pan-European hackathon on 24, 25 and 26 April: connecting civil society,
innovators, partners and buyers across Europe to develop innovative
solutions to coronavirus.
• E-pitching events (for investors, procurers, etc)
Latest novelties: Coronavirus
• Highly attractive ~ 1,900 proposals per cut-off (but much higher in March)
• Highly competitive ~170-180 proposals invited to interviews; 119 selected
(3.24% success rate so far)
• Strong demand for blended finance
• 56 blended (average €2 million grant + €4 million equity)
• 63 grant-only
• High quality proposals: one third passed the thresholds (over 1000 Seals
of Excellence issued)
