Dear colleagues,

after three successful meetings and scientific conferences of management departments from the South-East European region, organized in September/October 2011-2013, in Split, Mostar and Dubrovnik, we have now developed a consortium of ten institutions of higher education in the field of business and economics, supporting our initiative. We are pleased to announce that the Fourth South-East European (SEE) meeting & scientific conference of management departments will be hosted by University of Tuzla - Faculty of Economics, on the days of 26-27. September 2014.

We continue to strive toward realizing the ambition of creating a regional forum for exchange of ideas related to research and teaching in the fields of management, leadership, organisation/organisational theory and information technology.

The regional approach re-emphasizes the collaborative approach in scientific and professional work, as well as enables our younger colleagues to meet their peers throughout the region, establish new professional links and exchange opinions and best practices. We would like to contribute to a wider dialogue within the profession in the region and, therefore, participation at the Conference is encouraged for all those who will be either presenting a paper, or intend to actively contribute to discussions and exchange of best practices.

The main title of the Conference remains bound to our future-looking orientation - MANAGEMENT, LEADERSHIP AND ORGANISATION IN 21st CENTURY. However, in 2014, we would like to emphasize the significance of developing managerial, as well as entrepreneurial skills and competencies, which are crutial for overcoming challenges of contemporary business environment.

We kindly ask all the esteemed colleagues to submit their abstracts, addressing one of the following topics, or any other relevant topic, to be discussed in the general framework of the conference:

LEADERSHIP (with special emphasis on development of leadership skills/competences)

o Are there 'new leaders' in business, public and nonprofit sectors in the region and how did they emerge?

o Identifying and developing new leaders in the SEE region: The role of managerial education and business schools

o Developing competences for corporate social responsibility and social change

o Other relevant topics from the field of leadership

ORGANISATION (with special emphasis on skills for innovative organizational designs)

o The state of organizing skills/competences and the outlook for their development in the SEE region

o Flexible and virtual organizations in theory and SEE reality o Business process research and practice in the SEE region o Innovative organizational designs and mechanisms in business, public and

nonprofit sectors in the regiono Skills for innovative design and their development in the SEE regiono Other relevant topics from the field of organization

ENTREPRENEURSHIP (with special emphasis on development of entrepreneurial skills/competences)

o The state of entrepreneurial skills/competences and the outlook for their development in the SEE region

o The role of SEE universities and business schools in developing entrepreneurial competences in the region

o The entrepreneurial university concept and its implementation in the SEE region: Is there empirical evidence?

o EU opportunities for development of entrepreneurial skills and cases of best practice in the SEE region

o Other relevant topics from the field of entrepreneurship

We especially welcome papers on these (or other relevant) topics, concerned with the best practices of developing managerial and entrepreneurial skills/competences.

All professors, assistants and other faculty, researching and teaching, or interested in announced fields and/or topics in the wider region are encouraged to participate at the Conference. The working languages of the Conference are Bosnian, Croatian and Serbian, but contributions can be also submitted and presented in English. We ask all participants kindly to submit their contributions in any of the previously listed languages, in Latin alphabet. There will be no fee for participating at the Conference. There may a small fee only for those participants who would like to receive a printed copy of the Conference Proceedings, which will be announced in due time. In order to secure your participation at the Conference, we ask you kindly:

If you are interested in submitting and presenting your paper, please fill in the registration form and submit it, along with your abstract. Full papers will be submitted after the presentation at the Conference.

PLEASE NOTE: On the conference, we plan to have Power Point-based paper presentation and discussions. Full papers will be expected only after the presentation at the Conference, but to qualify for publishing, participants are required to previously present their paper. All full papers will be peer reviewed. Papers accepted by peer reviewers will appear in the Proceedings of the Conference.

If you wish to actively participate at the Conference, without presenting your own paper, please fill and submit the registration form only.

We ask you kindly to submit your registration form and/or abstract by 30th June 2014. We also ask you kindly to forward this call for papers to all your colleagues in the region (Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Macedonia, Montenegro, Slovenia, Serbia...) who might be interested in participation at the Conference. Thank you for your interest and cooperation. Detailed program and schedule of the Conference will be e-mailed to all registered participants in due time.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR FORMATTING OF AN ABSTRACT

The abstract should be written in any of the following languages: English, Bosnian, Croatian, or Serbian, but should be written in Latin alphabet.

The abstract should have the following elements: (a) title of the paper, (b) names and affiliations of all co-authors, including contact details (postal addresses, phone/fax numbers and e-mail addresses), (c) short discussion of the content of the paper and research results, (d) topic covered by the paper (either one of the topics suggested in the Call for papers, or the topic believed to be relevant by the authors). If several co-authors are listed, the author who serves as a contact person should be clearly indicated.

Maximum length of the abstract is limited to 1 page of the standard A4 format, written in Microsoft Word (or a similar text-processing software), with page margins set to 2.5 cm each.

The abstract should be delivered electronically (by email), in DOC, DOCX or RTF format.
