• Imagine that you live in Madrid, Spain, and you have a two-week vacation. You want to go to Florence, Italy. Florence is about 1,000 miles from Madrid

• Read the following text then answer the questions: Most scientists all over the world agree that one of the biggest

problems in the world right now is the problem of climate” weather” change. All of the pollution (dirty air that comes from cars, planes..) is making the world climate warmer. This warmer weather is melting the ice at the North and South Poles, and the water from the melting ice makes the ocean rise. Also, when weather changes, plants and animals have to change, too. The only way to stop this climate change is to make less pollution.

The United Nations had the first international conference (meeting), about the problem of pollution and climate in 1996. There have been six conferences since then. Each conference tries to get all of the countries of the world to agree on how to make less pollution. Each Conference has had some success, but there is still a lot of work to do.
