3PRODUCTION STAGE(SKILL-USING STAGE)

Last stage (for advanced students

this may be the only stage necessary)

Rationale:- To expose the

students the usage of the language in real-life situations through

activities- Give the students opportunity to use

the language- As assessment (to

assess students’ skills in using the language)

Aims:- To provide a context

in which the new language learnt would

naturally occur- Enables teacher to evaluate his/her own

teaching- Enables the

students to integrate the in new language with language they

already know- Build greater fluency

and ability to cope with features of real

communication

Features:- Natural settings

- The situation is spelt out in detail but the

language is not- Focus on fluency

- Have clear purpose and are more

meaning/content focused than

language form focused
