FREE to the public. Light refreshments served. THURSDAYS, 1:30–3 PM. (See page 3 for details.) Prof. David Peritz’ final lecture series at Vintage House will look at the upcoming national election and examine the urgent policy issues which are receiving far too little serious political discourse. Critical international issues include the Islamic State’s pivot toward the ‘far enemy’, the on-going bloodletting in Syria, an increasingly assertive China and Russia, and the inexorable advance of global climate change. Domestically, partisan polarization makes it difficult for the nation to coalesce around even the most urgent political issues, including an increasingly unresponsive political system and a less and less competitive education system, and a lack of stable middle-class jobs. VINTAGE HOUSE FUNDRAISER WILL HONOR TRANSCENDENCE FOUNDERS Vintage House’s Annual Fund Raiser will take place November 19, 2016 at a new location—Ramekins.

This year’s honorees are the founders of Transcendence Theatre Co: Amy Miller, Brad Surosky and Stephan Stubbins (above, L-R).

“Every year we honor someone who's had a positive impact on our community,” notes Bill O’Neal, President of the Vintage House Board. “Few people have had such an impact—in such a short time—as Amy, Brad and Stephan.”

“The joy and energy they bring to the community is fantastic,” adds Randy Derwingson, Vintage House board member. “That zest for life is exactly what we want seniors all over our valley to embrace. Their message is live life to the fullest,” adds Derwingson. “That’s our message to seniors too; it’s the whole idea behind Vintage House.”

The event will feature a champagne reception, dinner, fund-a need and live entertainment.

Tickets $200 per person. More info: www.vintagehouse.org
