My promises to you

City Council Election. Police and Crime Commissioner Election.

Use both your votes for Labour: Barry Bowles for the City Council; David Jamieson for Police and Crime Commissioner

Only Labour is standing up for Brum! Why vote for me? I have been proud to have represented Hall Green since first elected in 2012 and have worked closely with my fellow Labour councillors to deliver the best possible outcomes for Hall Green in spite of the severe and damaging attacks from the Tory government. Hall Green is really important to me. I have lived here for 31 years and have raised my family here. Hall Green is my community and I care deeply about it. By giving me your vote on May 5th, you will enable me to continue to working hard for Hall Green.

The Tories have got it in for Brum! They’ve hit us with a ‘Birmingham Bombshell’: £100 million of taxes and spending cuts - while giving hand-outs to leafy shires like Surrey. Birmingham Tories want to take away another £10 million from our vulnerable children. Labour in Birmingham has helped create record numbers of new businesses and new investment - creating thousands of new jobs. We've had more inward investment over the last 12 months than any other city. We’ve also built more council homes than anywhere in Britain. Our Birmingham Jobs Fund has delivered over 3,000 jobs and apprenticeships for young people. We’ve also delivered the Living Wage, meaning thousands of workers in Brum will now receive a fair day’s pay.

Labour working hard for Birmingham and Hall Green

Labour - fighting for our communities Labour in Birmingham did more than any other political party in the City to fight against proposals to break up communities put forward by the Boundary Commission that if implemented, would have a devastating impact on Hall Green.

Labour - delivering great education Our schools are some of the best performing schools in the City with Hall Green in the top five wards at Key Stage 4 alongside Sutton and Harborne. Labour in Birmingham has delivered more council run schools with an Ofsted rating of 'Outstanding'.

Labour - delivering a real living wage Labour in Birmingham is delivering a fair wage to all its employees and are looking at the B'ham Care Wage to ensure that this group of workers employed by the private sector also get a real living wage.

Protecting our environment I will take a zero tolerance approach against all those who damage our community by destroying our grass verges, flytipping and littering our streets.

Safer Roads I will work with the Neighbourhood Police Team, WM Fire Service and council officers to identify solutions to ensure our roads are safer and our residents free from harm.

Our Library I will continue fighting vigorously to maintain the vital library services we have in Hall Green. Your Labour councillors in Hall Green are a strong team with a united voice.

Only Labour is standing up for Brum!
