Parallel vs. Series CircuitsParallel circuits• maintain potential

(voltage is constant)

• Current is divided among components

• If one light goes out, the others stay lit

Series circuits• maintain electrical

flow (current is constant)

• Voltage is divided among components

• Easy to open circuit quickly
