Greetings Rahe Bulverde Families!

A warm welcome back to all of you. We hope you enjoyed your summer, finding time to relax, perhaps travel, and enjoy time with family and friends.

So here we are, beginning another new school year full of hope and anticipation of the good things to come. Our school theme this year is “Dream Big!” Our emphasis will be on dreaming big, embracing creativity and deeper thinking, and expecting extraordinary results from ourselves and others.

We will work together to provide our students access to the best possible educational experiences, including the addition of our newly purchased STEM Lab materials for our science labs, additional classroom IPADs, and the outdoor walking track (currently being built)…all purchased by our PTA with your support!

We are excited for another year of learning at Rahe Bulverde Elementary!

As the special education teachers on campus, our goal is to meet the

individual needs of the students we serve. Our hope is the students achieve success in the classroom academically

as well as socially. Collaborating with the classroom

teachers allows for the students to be provided a continuum of services to foster maximum potential in learning and developing into lifelong-learners.

activities; and shall not create a health problem or safety hazard for the student or others.

• Athletic shoes should be worn on PE days. • Girls should wear shorts underneath dresses/skirts. • Please write first and last names on all jackets, backpacks, and lunch boxes. Lost items are placed in

New students who were enrolled in a GT program in a former district will be evaluated based on the Comal ISD criteria for identification during the first few weeks of school. Additional testing may be necessary.

NEWS FROM THE SPECIALS TEACHERS ART, MUSIC, PE

Our main goal for specials this year is to inspire and motivate students to be creative, musically inclined and excited about physical activity.

The concept of art will be introduced through exploration of visual elements of art, famous artists and art styles, as well as various art media and techniques.

Students will sing, dance, and learn how to play various musical instruments in music class. Monthly performances will allow students to showcase these skills.

While using good sportsmanship, the focus in PE will be on learning skills that encourage physical health and wellness, which can be enjoyed for life.
