Secondary School-Level MTSS Implementation Plan This document provides a template for an Secondary School Leadership Team (SLT) to use in order to develop a MTSS Implementation Plan. The purpose of the School-Level MTSS Implementation Plan is to provide a way to guide the SLT’s discussion and identification of action steps needed to install and use MTSS. It also provides a means for the SLT to hold themselves accountable for accomplishing the activities within the timelines identified in the plan (NIRN, 2018). Secondary School-Level MTSS Implementation Plan

This document provides a template for an Secondary School Leadership Team (SLT) to use in order to develop a MTSS Implementation Plan. The purpose of the School-Level MTSS Implementation Plan is to provide a way to guide the SLT’s discussion and identification of action steps needed to install and use MTSS. It also provides a means for the SLT to hold themselves accountable for accomplishing the activities within the timelines identified in the plan (NIRN, 2018).

Objective Status

Complete 100% of the installation tasks on the PBIS Installation Checklist in MiMTSS by Winter of Year 2

Implement Tier 1 of School-wide Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (SWPBIS) with fidelity as measured by a Tier I scale score of 70% or higher on the SWPBIS Tiered Fidelity Inventory (TFI) by Spring of Year 2 resulting in a decrease of discipline referrals.

School Leadership Teams will add additional objectives as appropriate based on their school-level data reviews starting in Winter of Year 2 and will include in parentheses the precise problem statement(s) linked to these objectives.

Tier 1 Reading ObjectivesTable 2. Tier 1 Reading Objectives and Status Update

Objective Status

Complete 100% of the installation tasks on the Secondary Content Area Reading Installation Checklist by Fall of Year 3

Implement Tier 1 of School-wide Content Area Reading Model with fidelity as measured by a Tier I scale score of 80% or higher on the Reading Tiered Fidelity Inventory (R-TFI) by Spring of Year 3 resulting in an increase in the percent of students with 0-1 flags using the Early Warning Indicators.

School Leadership Teams will add additional objectives specific to the installation and use of the specific content area reading strategies

School Leadership Teams will add additional objectives as appropriate based on their school-level data reviews starting in Spring of Year 2 and will include in parentheses the precise problem statement(s) linked to these objectives.

Complete 100% of the installation tasks on the Secondary Intensifying Intervention Installation Checklist in MiMTSS by Spring of Year 4

Implement an integrated behavior and reading MTSS framework with fidelity as measured by a total score of at least 70% on the School-wide PBIS TFI and a total score of at least 80% on the R-TFI by Spring of Year 4 resulting in a decrease in discipline referrals and an increase in the percent of students with 0-1 flags using the Early Warning Indicators by Spring of Year 4

School Leadership Teams will add additional objectives as appropriate based on their school-level data reviews as early as Winter of Year 3
