Elijah’s Life

In the beginning of Elijah life he was a fragile boy who had the gift to chuck stones.

Elijah Freeman was the first born kid in Buxton Canada born free.

Elijah has several friends such as the Preacher, Cooter, and Mr. Leroy.

Things that happened in his life

When the circus was in town the preacher nearly sold him to the conjurer.

One day in school Mr. Travis nearly ripped Cooter’s ear off.

They found runaway slaves that had reached Canada.

Mail from America and Picnic at lake Erie

The mail was for Mrs. Holton and Mr. polite.

The mail to Mrs. Holton had news that her husband had was ill.

Mr. Travis, was Elijah’s Sabbath school teacher and took them to Lake Erie for a picnic.

Keeping Mr. John Holton alive

Sadly, John Holton passed away on May 7th, 1859.

Elijah carved this on Mr. Holton’s tombstone.

Mrs. Holton gave Elijah a whole nickel for doing good on the tombstone.

Terrified in America!

Elijah saw a stable from two blocks off. Elijah saw a guard dog that was as silent

as the wind. When he walk in the stable the preacher

was dead and that they were slaves with chains around their ankles.
