Getting to the community in Google+ (subsequent visits)

Once you are a member of the community, you can get to the community this way:

1. From the Google+ homepage, click on Communities (1) > MEMBER (2).

2. Select the ELL, ESL, ELD & SLP Resources Community(3).

The Community Homepage

The community homepage includes all of the posts that have been made to the

community. Use the scroll bar on the very far right of your screen to view them.

On the left side of the page there is a directory for the

Community:

● The directory contains the categories (topics) of posts

● Each category has posts that are relevant to the topic

● Navigate to the different categories by clicking on them

● When you click a category, only posts from that category

will show.

Part 2: About Posts in the Community

Here is an example of a post that has been made to the community:

The top of the post tells us:

● Who made the post (1)

● Which category the post is in (2)

● Notes from the person who posted (3)

The body of the post is:

● A preview of what that person is sharing,

● A spot you can click on to take you right to the

document/video/etc that’s being linked.

The bottom of the post gives us information on:

● Who has clicked “+1’’ to “like” the post (1)

● Who has commented on the post (2)

You can share any post with others that are not in

the community by clicking the “Share” button (3).
