Dear Mysterious Missy, I am kind of upset at some people. I don't want to tell them that they are making

Dear Amrak2006:),If you want you can get a journal to put all your feelings in. It can help you

because you can write out your anger. If you don’t really like writing then you can maybe talk about it with another friend that is not part of the situation and that won’t tell the other people. Those things can help you out to try to figure things out and know how you are really feeling then putting it away in your mind. Don’t feel bad about yourself because you are a great person and a lot of other people would love to be your friend. If they don’t treat you with kindness then you shouldn’t be there friend because friends don’t do that. If you don’t want to be there friend just don’t hangout with them. You can still talk to them but you don’t need to hangout outside of school or be best friends with them. I think you should talk to them about it, even if you don’t want to because then you can figure out the situation. You don’t need to feel bad because you just want to know why they are being mean. It is good to tell them how you feel so they can know how you are feeling and they might not know that they are making you feel bad. It could just be how they act around friends. I hope my advice helped. If my advice doesn’t work, feel free to write me back or if it does work, I would love to know that to!

Dear Mysterious Missy, My friend (1) is in an argument with my other friend (2). (1) doesn't

want me to talk to (2) even though I still want to. I'm afraid that if I talk to (2), then (1) won't be my friend anymore. I don't want both of my friendships to end but I don't want to not talk to (2) either. What should I do?

~Friendship Drama

Dear Friendship Drama,I think you should still talk to (2) because (1) shouldn’t try to control

your life. You should decide whoever you want to talk to not what the other person wants you to do. Your friend (1) shouldn’t get mad at you for talking to your friend because you are your own person. If you think your friend (1) is going to get mad at you for talking to (2) then tell them why you want to talk to them. You can say, “Hey, I know you don’t want me to talk to (2) but I want to because I am still their friend but I don’t want you to get mad at me so please don’t get mad, we can still be friends.” I am sure (1) will understand if you say this to them because they would know that you guys can still be friends even when talking to someone they don’t like. You can also try to make up their friendship so everything can get better and you won’t need to deal with who to talk to or losing both friendships. You can bring both of your friends together so they can talk it out with each other and you can be their to support them and help them out. They probably will get over the argument soon so everything will get better. If you need some more help if this doesn’t work, you can always write back to me. I hope all the friendships get better and everything will get back to normal. Remember you are your own person and you can talk to whoever you want.

On Sunday, March 4, 2019, there was a deadly tornado in Lee County, Alabama. It killed around 23 people and 50

were injured. The tornado also destroyed many businesses and homes. Now about the tornado! The winds reached up to 170 miles per hours. This was ranked at an EF-4 tornado which stands for Enhanced Fujita. The Enhanced Fujita was ranked at a level 4. The tornado also was a half a mile wide! Many have described the tornado sound as a freight train! There were over 150 people involved in the rescue teams who were searching for survivors. There are also many ways to help. You can help by donating money, supplies (clothes, toilet trees, etc.), and food. Anything can help the people that are going

through this tragic event.

Pie In the Face

On March 22, a teacher will be pied in the face!The student council has been selling tickets for the pie in the face

and the money that the student council earned from selling the

tickets is going to a donation for people that have leukemia. The

teachers that will be able to be pied, are Mr. Learner, Mr. Bolin, Ms.

Hagins, Mr. Uhler, Mrs. Marzillo, Ms. Romano, Mrs. Anichini, Mrs.

Windisch, Mrs. Ricchio, Ms. Toby, Mrs. Ascencio, Officer Lombardi,

and our special guest Mr. Seibel! So if you see any of these

teachers tell them thank you for volunteering for the pie in the

face.

On March 22 we will have a raffle to see which students will be

lucky and get to pie a teacher in the face. Also the day of the pie

in the face, is also the day of the dare graduation! Let’s wish the

5th graders good luck, and a congratulations!

It’s that time of year. . . Spring! It is when people are cleaning and the sun is beaming! Here are some facts on SPRING CLEANING. Through many, many years this was a tradition in many cultures including Greek Orthodox, Iranian, Ancient Jewish, and Chinese. In Greek Orthodox cultures they clean to prepare for lent, which they call Clean Monday. In Iranian cultures, the Persian new year, known as Nowruz, falls on the first day of spring and includes a ritual known as “khooneh takouni” which means “shaking the house,” entailing a thorough house cleaning. Ancient Jewish cultures clean their houses for a holiday called passover, which means they can not eat anything with yeast in it. So, they clean out all crumbs in their houses to make sure not to break the tradition. And,

finally in Chinese cultures the clean there houses for the “LIttle New Year”. They clean out all the negativity and

bad spirits.
