In the sustainability world, some people move into a business sustainability job function from other business
divisions, others, like Emily Brooks, are different.
Emily Brooks is a Senior Project Manager and Sustainability Expert Consultant and has both studied in and
worked in all sectors of the sustainability and global business landscape managing and marketing strategic
sustainability organizational change in over 13 global separate business sectors over the last 15 years. She is a
respected and popularly requested public speaker and has the ability to translate complicated and potentially
controversial content into user-friendly and understandable concepts.
Emily Brooks has a solid understanding of sustainability issues facing global food and agriculture businesses
today. She has successfully created internal and external strategic sustainability programs around core business
competencies and has the foresight to turn external business challenges into profitable business. She excels
at:
creating and launching strategic sustainability initiatives at corporate, brand, and product levels, drafting and managing comprehensive global sustainability frameworks and then linking those into

BASF ACHIEVEMENTS:
Routinely bring together large global stakeholder groups to solve sustainability problems through research, R&D, and technology innovation. Work with experts in Agriculture Crop Technology, Water, Electrical and Mechanical Engineers with Production System Design, Packaging, and Chemists and Biochemists from around the world to solve identified problems in the food industry.
Analyzed the sustainability hotspots for the largest meat producer in the world; utilizing quantitative and qualitative analyses to study beef, pork, lamb, and poultry production throughout the world in 6 different countries – including a comprehensive global sustainability strategy and marketing platform for the organization.
Lead a global R&D taskforce to study the sustainability levers for fish based Omega 3 global sourcing, procurement, and supply chain transparency.
Conducted a US & Canada Omega-3 HotSpot Analysis with End-Consumer survey to map the gaps between sustainability issues, perception, purchasing behavior, and supply chain risk areas. Created a global sustainable sourcing strategy and marketing platform.
