LITERATURE REVIEWLITERATURE REVIEW

Based on earlier studies:Based on earlier studies:

All three elements of the individual factors, All three elements of the individual factors, environment and trainers greatly influences the environment and trainers greatly influences the efficacy of training (Baldwin Ford, 1998; Chiaburu efficacy of training (Baldwin Ford, 1998; Chiaburu Tekleab, 2005;Kirkpatrick,1976;Schuller, 1983)Tekleab, 2005;Kirkpatrick,1976;Schuller, 1983)

Efficacy of training is also influenced by the Efficacy of training is also influenced by the content of the exercise (Peterson, content of the exercise (Peterson, 1990;Coffman,1987) but it is not relevant to be 1990;Coffman,1987) but it is not relevant to be one of the factors in this study because of the one of the factors in this study because of the content of this training has been determined by content of this training has been determined by the WMOthe WMO

SAMPLINGSAMPLING

The respondent is a meteorological Officer – who has ever attended a Basic course in Meteorology from 1997 to 2010

Sampling used is simple random

Questionaire sending

By mail- if there are not in headquarters

By hand – if there are in headquarters in Petaling Jaya

Based on (Krejcie Morgan, 1971), the sample size should be127, but the feedback is 105

PILOT TESTPILOT TEST

Questionaire was adapt from:

Section A,C andD – Herbert Marsh

Section B and E – Thayer dan Teachout, 1995

Used Lickert Scale 1-5

Pilot test to 30 respondents

To verify the validity of the questionaire analysis factor are used.
