1. 1. Demand for individual wage He is not getting what he is worth. Getsadjustment less than other people work requiring thesame skill.

2.Complaints about job His job is worth more than it pays. Should be

classification reclassified, deserves to be upgraded.

3. Complaints about The method of figuring his pay is so complicated

incentive system that he doesn’t know what his rate really is.

4. Miscellaneous Mistakes are made in calculating pay.

1. Complaints against discipline  Supervisor doesn’t like him, picks onhim.He is active in the union. Hismistakes were due inadequate instructions

Seniority discharge:

1. Loss of seniority He has been unfairly deprived of seniority.

2.Calculation of seniority Not received the seniority due to him.

3. Interpretation of seniority Clause in agreement has been unfairlyinterpreted ( Clauses often vague)

4. Disciplinary discharge penalized unfairly. Company wanted to get rid of him anyway – for the union activity.

5. Promotions Company would not promote – union activity

doesn’t have a chance to advance himself.
