SOFTBALL/Cont’d on Page 2According to the OCAC website:

“In another thrilling final game, Clark State was able to hold off Southern State Community College and win it’s second straight OCAC tournament championship. The Eagles lead most of the way behind the pitching of Emily Massie. Massie, who was com-ing off two steller performances the day before, was on her game again un-til the middle innings. That is when the Patriots made their move and whittled the Clark State lead down and tied the game in the top of the 6th inning. In the bottom of the inning Taylor West-ern hit a double to center field, driving

in the game winning runs and leading the Eagles to a 7-5 victory.”

Southern State award recipients included:

• First Team—Shelby Kel-ley, SSCC sophomore, graduate of Western Brown High School; and Brittany Colwell, SSCC sopho-more, graduate of Little Miami High School.

• Second Team—Courtney Esz, SSCC freshman, graduate of Western Brown High School; and Breanne Johnson, SSCC sopho-more, graduate of Miami Trace High School.
