Employee Self Service
Human Resources is pleased to announce the launch of the Employee Self-Service (ESS) module in PeopleSoft. ESS will offer anytime, anywhere online access to managing much of your personal information.
ESS is your personal talent management inventory where you can keep the most updated list of your competencies, memberships, licenses, education and languages.
This training session is being offered to introduce you to the ESS functionality.
Employee Self Service
You will be able to View:
1. Home and mailing addresses2. Phone numbers and emergency contacts3. Email addresses4. Compensation history5. Beneficiaries and benefits summary6. Other employer information7. Current and historical pay advice information 8. Bank account information
Employee Self Service
You will also be able to change some key personal information online and anytime:
1. Access to update or add home and mailing addresses, phone numbers, emergency contacts and email addresses.
2. Access to update or add competencies, memberships, licenses, education and languages.
Pandemic Focus
The Employee Self-Service (ESS) module is also a critical component of Hamilton Health Sciences Pandemic Planning. The skill set inventory will provide a database of all the existing skills, knowledge and experience within the organization.
This information may be used during the course of a Pandemic or similar disaster for redeployment of staff to areas of greatest need. Please update this information as soon as you receive access.
French Language Focus
You are being requested to update your French language proficiency level for of the purposes of the hospital’s MOHLTC required French Language Services Hospital Annual Planning Submission (FLS HAPS).
Hamilton Health Sciences is required to provide this information to the ministry as part of planning for possible French language services.
Immediate Request
After training, please access ESS to do the following:
1. View your personal information and ensure it is accurate and up to date.
2. Update your list of competencies, memberships, licenses and education.
3. Update your languages and associated proficiency levels especially French language written and oral skills.
