What can we do for employers?



Recruitment

• Advertisement of vacancies on JobsIreland

• JobsFair/Recruitment Events

– We organise Jobs Fairs, Information Sessions, Online European Job Days, stands in DEASP offices and other recruitment events.

– We invite suitable candidates and manage applications • Matching

– We can match suitable candidates for a vacancy (based on ESCOs-European

Skills, Competences, Qualifications & Occupations)

• Selection

– Applications can be sent to the EE team and vetted so that only candidates

matching criteria are forwarded for interview

• Screening

– A pre-selection phone interview can be carried out before employer meets

candidates

Subsidy for employing staff from the Live RegisterTwo Levels of Payment:

• A new employee who was unemployed for 12-36 months €7,500

• A new employee who was unemployed for over 36 months €10,00012 months unemployed for new staff aged 50 or over

• Jobseekers under 25 are eligible for Jobsplus Youth after 4 months receiving their DEASP payment out of the last 6 months

Full time employment only – 30 hours minimum | 4 days per week minimum

Paid by EFT monthly over 24 months or until employment ceases

• Simple Process for Employers1. Register on line

• An employer registers on www.jobsplus.ie

2. The recruitment phase

• At this stage an employer could contact local EE team to promote/support the recruitment for the vacancy.

• 3. The decision to hire

• Completes part B of the JP1 form given to them by the successful candidate, signs the declaration and returns it to the Department.

• 4.Payment

• Payments will issue monthly in arrears by EFT . Payment will be paid monthly up to a maximum of 24 month period.

Wage Subsidy Scheme – WSS

• Encourage employers to employ a person with a disability.

• To make good any perceived productivity shortfall.

• Subject to same conditions of employment.

• 21 – 39 hours per week (€5.30 per hour)

• Max €10,748 per year



Supported Employment

• Employability Service Cork & West Cork

• Provides Job Coach to help a person with a disability find or retain employment.

• 18 Months duration

• Work experience element which may lead to recruitment and employer may be eligible to gain access to Wage Subsidy Scheme

The Employment and Youth Activation Charter is aimed at employers who want to

make a contribution to society by opening their doors to unemployed people and by providing them with the crucial link to the world of work.Organisations and companies who sign up to the Charter are supporting our live register customers. By agreeing to assist in one or more of the following.

• Engage with your local Intreo office (i.e. us) to access and recruit from the talent pool

• Provide employment skills training for unemployed people to help them to become job ready

• Host a job readiness event for unemployed people in the community by giving advice on CV writing, interview techniques and job searching



• Engage in blended training-work placement opportunities• Facilitate a Job Sampling tour • Participate in your local DEASP Job Club. Offer motivational talks and insights into

the world of work• Work with local schools and community training centres to offer students early

insights into the world of work• Attend an Intreo briefing to maximise your understanding of the range of employer

supports available
