Pressman PR Case Study: 2016 Client: ECGC Ltd.

Empowering Exports for 60 years ECGC Ltd., wholly owned by Government of India, was set up in 1957 to promote exports by providing Credit Risk Insurance and related services for exports. It functions under the administrative control of Ministry of Commerce & Industry, and is managed by a Board of Directors comprising representatives of the Government, Reserve Bank of India, banking, and insurance and exporting community. Over the years it has designed different export credit risk insurance products to suit the requirements of Indian exporters and commercial banks extending export credit.

2016 marked the beginning of the 60th year of ECGC and the company invited several agencies to present a comprehensive plan for its Diamond Jubilee celebrations. Pressman Advertising won the pitch and was entrusted the task of compiling a commemorative book chronicling its 60 year history, a corporate film and a series of advertisements while Pressman PR was assigned to carry out media relations during the Diamond Jubilee year.

The Diamond Jubilee celebration was inaugurated on 8th November 2016 by Mr. Pranab Mukherjee, Hon’ble President of India. The event received excellent coverage.

ECGC hosted the ‘Heads of BRICS ECAs’ meet in New Delhi and the Technical Workshop of BRICS ECAs, and these events received good media coverage.

During the year, ECGC received coverage in 12 print titles and 32 online portals.
