CURSOS DE INGLÉS 2010English Courses 2010

La Dirección de Educación y Empleo de la ONCE convoca 60 plazas para tres cursos intensivos de inglés, para el fomento y perfeccionamiento de este idioma. Estos cursos se celebrarán en las instalaciones del Centro de Recursos Educativos de la ONCE en Pontevedra y serán impartidos por profesorado de la academia de inglés “WATERFORD” de Pontevedra.

Los cursos se desarrollarán en horario de mañana y tarde, teniendo la jornada vespertina una dinámica lúdica.

The ONCE Education and Employment Direction announces 60 places for three intensive English courses for the promotion and the improvement of this language. These courses will be held in the ONCE Educational Resources Centre in Pontevedra and will be given by teachers from “WATERFORD” Language Centre in Pontevedra.

The courses will be held in the mornings and afternoons, having the afternoon lessons a playful dynamics.

PRIMER CURSO:

ESTUDIANTES ENTRE 12-14 AÑOS, NIVEL ELEMENTAL Y PRE-

INTERMEDIO:

Se convocan 20 plazas (17 dirigidas a afiliados que tengan la consideración de usuarios del Servicio de Atención Educativa de la ONCE; 3 para estudiantes sin discapacidad visual) para un curso intensivo de inglés de 60 horas lectivas.

En relación con los límites de edad, los solicitantes deberán tener cumplidos 12 años de edad a 1 de julio de 2010.

El curso se celebrará en las fechas comprendidas entre el 5 y el 16 de julio de 2010.

FIRST COURSE:

STUDENTS BETWEEN THE AGES OF 12-14 WITH ELEMENTARY AND

PRE-INTERMEDIATE LEVEL: There are 20 places available (17 aimed at members with the consideration of users of the ONCE Educational Attention Service; 3 aimed at students without any visual disability) for an intensive 60-hour course. With regard to the age limits, all applicants must be 12 by the 1st of July, 2010. The course will be held between the 5th and 16th of July, 2010.

SEGUNDO CURSO:

ESTUDIANTES ENTRE 15-17 AÑOS, NIVEL PRE-INTERMEDIO E

INTERMEDIO:

Se convocan 20 plazas (17 dirigidas a afiliados que tengan la consideración de usuarios del Servicio de Atención Educativa de la ONCE; tres a estudiantes sin discapacidad visual) para un curso intensivo de inglés de 60 horas lectivas.

En cuanto a los límites de edad, los solicitantes no deberán cumplir los 18 años de edad antes del 31 de julio de 2010.

El curso se celebrará en las fechas comprendidas entre el 19 y el 30 de julio de 2010.

SECOND COURSE:

STUDENTS BETWEEN THE AGES OF 15-17 WITH PRE-INTERMEDIATE

AND INTERMEDIATE LEVEL:

There are 20 places available (17 aimed at members with the consideration of users of the ONCE Educational Attention Service; three aimed at students without any visual disability) for an intensive 60-hour course. With regard to the age limits, all applicants must not be 18 before the 31st of July, 2010. The course will be held between the 19th and 30th of July, 2010.

TERCER CURSO:

ESTUDIANTES ENTRE 15-17 AÑOS, NIVEL INTERMEDIO O

INTERMEDIO ALTO:

Se convocan 20 plazas (11 para afiliados que tengan la consideración de usuarios del Servicio de Atención Educativa de la ONCE; 5 para estudiantes extranjeros de países de la zona sur de la UE con discapacidad visual; 4 para estudiantes sin discapacidad visual) para un curso intensivo de inglés de 60 horas lectivas.

La selección de los 5 alumnos no nacionales se llevará a cabo por sus centros educativos de procedencia.

Los solicitantes no deberán cumplir los 18 años antes del 31 de agosto de 2010.

El curso se celebrará en las fechas comprendidas entre el día 2 y el 13 de agosto.

THIRD COURSE:

STUDENTS BETWEEN THE AGES OF 15-17 WITH INTERMEDIATE OR

UPPER-INTERMEDIATE LEVEL:

There are 20 places available (11 aimed at members with the consideration of users of the ONCE Educational Attention Service; 5 aimed at foreign students from the south of the EU with some visual disability; 4 aimed at students without any visual disability) for an intensive 60-hour course. The selection of the 5 foreign students will be carried out by their corresponding educational centres.

With regard to the age limits, all applicants must not be 18 before the 31st of August, 2010.

The course will be held between the 2nd and 13th of August, 2010.

TRES CURSOS:

Durante la estancia en el Centro de Recursos Educativos de la ONCE se organizarán actividades de ocio y tiempo libre en los horarios y periodos no lectivos de las tardes y durante los fines de semana, también en lengua inglesa, por lo que se contará con monitores con un profundo dominio de este idioma.

COMMON FEATURES FOR THE THREE COURSES:

During the stay at the ONCE Educational Resources Centre several leisure activities will be organised during the non-school timetable in the afternoons and at the weekend as well, using English as the communication language, that is the reason why the students will have high-levelled English speaking instructors at their disposal.

DURANTE LA CELEBRACIÓN DE LOS CURSOS SE COMBINARÁ LA ACTIVIDAD ACADÉMICA CON LA LÚDICA, TAL Y COMO SE PUEDE APRECIAR EN LA IMAGEN,

DONDE APARECEN ALUMNOS DE EDICIONES ANTERIORES REALIZANDO EJERCICIOS DE RELAJACIÓN.

Throughout the courses the academic activity will be combined with leisure activities, as we can see in the picture, where some students from previous

editions are doing relaxation exercises.

Las clases se impartirán enteramente en inglés y los alumnos aprenderán las claves necesarias para poder desenvolverse en el idioma sin tener que recurrir al castellano.

El horario lectivo se extenderá por la mañana de 9:00 a 13:00 horas y por la tarde de 16:00 a 18:00.

Los tiempos restantes de las tardes y los fines de semana se destinarán a realizar actividades de ocio y tiempo libre.

The lessons will be fully carried out in English language and the students will learn the essential aspects so that they can handle in English avoiding the use of Spanish language.

The school timetable ranges from 9:00 to 13:00 in the morning and from 16:00 to 18:00 in the afternoon.

The remaining afternoon hours and the weekend will be devoted to leisure activities and free time.

REQUISITOS:

Los asistentes a estos cursos deberán cumplir los requisitos de dominio del idioma y de edad, en su caso, y además tener adquiridas las habilidades necesarias y el nivel de autonomía personal que les permita valerse por sí mismos en aspectos cotidianos de vida diaria, autocuidado de la salud y movilidad independiente.

Los estudiantes sin discapacidad visual deberán, además, cumplir alguna de las siguientes condiciones:

1. Ser hermano de estudiante afiliado a la ONCE.2. Ser hijo de afiliado a la ONCE.3. Ser hijo de trabajador no afiliado del grupo ONCE.

Que actuarán, por este mismo orden, como criterios de selección preferente.

REQUIREMENTS:

The attendants to these courses must fulfill the following requirements: English language master and age requirement. Besides, they must have acquired all the necessary skills and a personal level of autonomy which allows them to manage by themselves in everyday aspects such as health, self-care and independent mobility.

The students without any visual disability will also have to fulfill some of the following conditions:

1. Being brother or sister of a student who is a member of ONCE.2. Being son or daughter of a member of ONCE.3. Being son/daughter of an employee who is not a member of ONCE.

These conditions will be taken into account, in this order, as preferable selection criteria.

PROCEDIMIENTO DE SOLICITUD Y

SELECCIÓN:

Los interesados presentarán la solicitud, que figura como modelo adjunto al Oficio-Circular 4/2010, en su centro de adscripción educativa (Delegación Territorial, Dirección Administrativa o Centro de Recursos Educativos) no más tarde del día 26 de marzo del presente año. En dicha solicitud deberán figurar, además de los datos personales y de estudios, la ayuda por la que se opta (sólo podrá seleccionarse una de ellas) y el código de lecto-escritura para la realización de las pruebas de selección, así como los aparatos tiflotécnicos que pudiera necesitar.

La Dirección de Educación y Empleo publicará Nota Circular, con la relación de alumnos admitidos a la realización de las pruebas, así como la fecha y lugar de celebración de las mismas.

APPLYING AND SELECTION PROCEDURE:

The applicants will have to register the application form, that appears as a sample enclosed to the Oficio Circular 4/2010, in their corresponding Educational Centre (Local Office, Administrative Management or Educational Resources Centre) by the 26th of March 2010. In this application form, apart from the personal information, candidates must mention which grant they are applying for (only one of them can be selected) and reading and writing code to carry out the selection tests, as well as the tiflotechnical devices he could need.

The Education and Employment Management will publish a Circular Note with the list of the students who have been admitted to do the tests, as well as their date and place.
