A Musical Notes

Rehearsal for the Senior Adult Choir will resume after our ldquoLate Spring Breakrdquo on Tuesday May 3rd at 1000 AM in the choir

room We have another road trip at the end of May and have some new music to learn In addition to learning new songs I know that many of you are missing the Tuesday morning doughnut Join us for fun and fellowship Itrsquos Godrsquos people proclaiming Godrsquos message in Godrsquos power Rehearsal for the Adult Choir picks up on Wednesday May 4th at 710 PM in the choir room Wersquore just a couple of months away from beginning work on a major Christ-mas project In the mean time we have lots of great new songs to learn and share This is a great time to join the choir Therersquos always room for you Psalm 951-2 O come let us sing for joy to the Lord Let us shout joyfully to the rock of our salvation [2] Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving Let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms Sounds like a good plan to me By the way all choir members and AV team members God really anointed your labor and made this Easter season an extra special blessing to many both in our congregation and in our community Thank you for letting God use you in ministry and service

One Final Note

There is an old saying that is frequently tossed about in rehearsal halls and athletic facilities by coaches and directors The axiom is ldquoPractice makes perfectrdquo The implication is that if you keep doing something over and over you will eventually get better at it I beg to differ Practice does not make perfect Practice makes permanent Thatrsquos why what you practice is just as important as how hard you practice It is possible to work really hard and become very proficient at the wrong things Musicians and athletes spend more time in practice than in performance Their performances are confined by the boundaries of the clock the course or the composition Sports teams and musical groups must practice together to prepare for games or concerts In fact rehearsals are some of the sweetest times of fellowship as we grow and learn together Christianity is a teamgroup activity We are in a constant state of practice In the church we practice loving and praising God and loving and serving our brothers and sisters so when we get out into the world we can love and praise God and love and serve those who are not of our family All of this practice is to prepare us for the eternal performance for the audience of One Practice the right things and donrsquot miss practice Hebrews 1024-25 and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds [25] not forsaking our own assembling together as is the habit of some but encouraging one another and all the more as you see the day drawing near JimJimJimJim
