On-Site Mediation Strategy Purpose: reinforce clear and consistent expectations for student behavior support for students who experience academic and/or behavioral problems provides direct classroom support with classroom management strategies On-Site Mediation Strategy Steps to use On-Site Mediation: Teacher implements all classroom strategies in toolbox If teacher has exhausted all of their strategies i.e. seating changes, working with teaching partner etc., Call member of On-Site Mediation Team Situation #1- Member of team takes over the class, while teacher and student(s) come to resolution to conflict/issue Situation #2- Member will take student to Student Success Room or Student Services to do further problem solving, with specific focus being paid to Character Development and STAR! What, So What?, Now What? Activity Each Group has received a case scenario of a possible classroom conflict. Read your scenario as a group and create a skit to show the What, So What, Now What strategy for dealing with conflict. The scenario that is bolded in your handout is the one we would like you to use for your skit. Supporting Our Spec.
