Academically she has achieved success, with a bunch of 5's and 6's to be proud of. She is a very committed student and at present is showing aptitude right across the width of the curriculum. This is a very strong position from which to advance on to Year 8. Martina has a lovely group of friends and they all must take credit for helping her through this first year. The IB Learner Profile is full of meaningful things to aim for; one of those is being a risk-taker and it is that which I would like Martina to aim for next year. She is a very knowledgeable girl and works hard, but she can learn so much from taking risks and even getting things wrong sometimes. I believe that Martina now has the confidence to face making mistakes and learning through her mistakes. She has great ideas in her head but often is reluctant to express them in case they seem silly. Not ever the case! I think that next year Martina may be challenging for the very top grades in class in some subject areas. She is well capable of this. I hope you all enjoy your vacations together.
