19 September 2019 Dear Parents, 1. SCHEDULE FOR SECOND SEMESTRAL ASSESSMENT 2019 (P3-P5) We thank you for your continued support in working with us to bring out the best in your child. As the school enters the final term of the year, students will soon sit for the end of year examinations. Our teachers have been working closely with the students to prepare them for the examinations. We hope that you can work with us to ensure that your child has a conducive place to revise and he/she gets sufficient rest during this period to give his/her best. The Second Semestral Assessment will be conducted from 21 October 2019 to 4 November 2019. To assist your child in preparing for the examinations, the exam schedule and topics covered are attached for your reference. We thank you in advance for your support in your child’s education. 2. ABSENCE FROM SCHOOL EXAMINATIONS All students are to submit a medical certificate or other official documents if they are absent on examination day(s). Please note that parents’ letter will not be accepted. Failure to produce the relevant document(s) will result in the student receiving zero mark for the paper that he/she misses. Other than medical leave, the school will only consider cases such as hospitalization, demise of immediate family member as valid reasons (VR) for a student to be absent from his/her exams. For students who have a valid reason (VR) and are unable to sit for the full paper of a subject, a ‘VR’ will be given for that subject in the examination and the overall mark will be pro-rated. No make-up exams will be conducted. Students should be punctual for all exams. Late comers will not be given extra time unless there is a valid reason. 3. SUSPENSION OF SUPPLEMENTARY LESSONS/ REMEDIAL/ CCA There will be no supplementary/remedial lessons from 14 October 2019 onwards. CCA lessons will be suspended from 21 October 2019 to 31 October 2019. This is to allow your child to prepare for the examinations. CCA will resume on 1 November 2019. Thank you. Yours faithfully,
