Pr. Ghassan Yared

Pr. Ghassan Yared is an endodontist practicing in Toronto, Canada.

Pr. Yared has been extensively involved in teaching. He joined the Department of Endodontics at the Lebanese University in 1989, and the University of Toronto in 1999. Pr. Yared has received numerous teaching awards at both universities.Pr. Yared has supervised the research projects of graduate endodontic students at the University of Toronto. He has published extensively in peer-reviewed international endodontic journals. He has also given numerous lectures and continuing education courses worldwide. Pr. Yared is a reviewer for the International Endodontic Journal, Journal of Endodontics, Oral Surgery Oral Medicine Oral Pathology Oral Radiology and Endodontics, and the Endodontic Topics. He is also a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada, and a member of the Canadian Academy of Endodontology and the American Association of Endodontists.

Pr. Yared is the inventor of single file reciprocation, Reciproc blue and the R-Pilot.

Pr. Filippo Santarcangelo

Born in Bari in 1973, he graduated from the University of Bari School of Medicine and Surgery in 1996.

Trained in endodontics by Dr. Arnaldo Castellucci’s Postgraduate course in Florence. Active member of the Italian endodontic Society. Speaker at numerous conferences and congresses in Italy and abroad.

Speaker at the AAE (American Association of Endodontists) in the San Diego 2010 and San Antonio 2011 editions, invited speaker in the Hawaii edition 2013.

Invited Lecturer at the Harvard University, Boston (USA).

Author of the chapter “Complication during Irrigation” of the new Castellucci Textbook “Endodontics” by Quintessece international.

Adjunct Professor in endodontics at the degree course in dentistry and dental prosthetics at the University of Padua.

Professor at the Two years Postgraduate course in Madrid (Spain), University Rey Juan Carlos. He maintains a clinical practice limited to endodontics in Bari, Italy.

Asst. Pr. Philippe Sleiman

Professor Philippe Sleiman is a practicing clinician, internationally renowned speaker, and university professor.

Autor of multiple articles in JOE, Roots, and Dental Tribune, inventor of dental instruments, he has publish a book on ultrasonic, and many new techniques in root canal treatment, and an avid traveler.

He works in his private practice in his native Beirut and is Chief endodontist in three clinics in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

He holds DDS, MSc, and DSc degrees and is adjunct Assistant Professor of the University of North Carolina (USA) and Associate Professor of his home Lebanese University (Lebanon).

Pr. Walid Nehme

Pr. Walid Nehme (DDS, MSc, FICD) is a clinical professor at the Endodontic department of Saint Joseph University of Beirut where he received his DDS (1988) and MSc (1994). His academic activities lie within the field of undergraduate and postgraduate endodontic education and emphasizes on clinical training and conduction and surveillance of research projects. Pr Nehme has published scientific, and clinical articles in peer- reviewed journals nationally and internationally on subjects including Root canal anatomy, instrumentation techniques, NiTi files, Irrigation procedures, obturation and retreatment. He is an international member of the American association of endodontists (AAE). He served as President of the Lebanese Society of Endodontology (LSE). He is a founder member and former president of the Arab Endodontic Society (AES).

He is an analyst and opinion leader for clinical trials for endodontic manufacturers and has contributed in the elaboration of new devices in endodontics. He runs postgraduate endodontic courses and hands on in the Middle East, Africa and Europe and Canada. He works in a referral-based practice limited to endodontics in Beirut, Lebanon and Abu dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

Pr. Roger Rebeiz

Graduated from Saint-Joseph University (Lebanon) in 1981. In 1984, he obtained a Certificate in Endodontics from University of Paris V (France), and in 1987 he obtained Docteur en Sciences Odontologiques from University of Paris VI (France).

In 1991 he obtained the title of Professor in the Department of Endodontics in Saint-Joseph University (Lebanon) and was the Director of the postgraduate program of Endodontics and Chairman of the Department of Endodontics at Saint-Joseph University, Lebanon.

Currently he is the Director of the “Dental College”, school of dental continuing education and training in Lebanon, and a private practitioner.

Pr. Stephen Niemczyk

Dr. Niemczyk graduated from the University Of Pennsylvania School Of Dental Medicine, receiving his D.M.D. in 1982 and his postgraduate Endodontic certificate in 1984. Since 1995, Dr. Niemczyk has been the Director of Endodontic Microsurgery at Harvard University in Boston, MA and Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia. He also serves as a surgical consultant to the Postgraduate Endodontic Program at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, MD, and the U. S. Army Endodontic Residency Program in Fort Gordon, GA. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics, and maintains a full time practice limited to Endodontics in Drexel Hill, PA.

Pr. Issam KHALIL

DcD,MsC,PhD

Head of endodontic department at the Saint Joseph University , Beirut.Issam Khalil obtained his dental degree from Saint-Joseph University, Beirut in 1991 and then complete his specialization studies in the University of Denis Diderot- Paris VII where he earned certificates in Oral Biology and Conservative Dentistry and a Master Degree in endodontics. Back in Beirut in 1994, he joined the endodontic department of the Faculty of Dentistry at St. Joseph University.

In 2005, he earned a certificate in Biological and Medical Sciences, in 2007 a master in Oral Biomaterials, in 2009 a University Degree in pedagogy from the Faculty of Education Sciences of St Joseph University and in 2011 he obtained his PhD degree with distinction and congratulations of the jury.Pr Khalil’s professional career combines clinical practice with teaching and research. He has focused his researches on endodontic instruments, on tooth regeneration and mainly on the development of new endodontic sealer and MM-MTA.

He has presented numerous national and international lectures, courses and hands-on in different countries worldwide and has published more than twenty articles in refereed dental journals. He is co-founder of the AGE (Advisor Group in Endodontics) France, and speaker accredited by the IFEA (International Federation of Endodontic Association). He is a past- president of the Lebanese society of Endodontology, founder and editor-in-Chief of its journal and its representative in the European Society of Endodontology from 2003 till 2006.

He was awarded by the Lebanese government in appreciation for his pioneer scientific work and thus decorated with the Lebanese Silver Medal of Merit. He also received an award from the “French endodontic society” and the best Arab research award in Morocco in 2014 from the “Arab thought foundation”.

He is married to Dr Abir Abou Daher and are both proud of their five boys: Redha, Karim, Talal, Antoine and Raja. Issam Khalil holds the WIPO patent for MM-MTA, and a patent for the new endodontic cement sealer BIO MM. He is currently head of the Endodontic department of the Faculty of Dentistry at St Joseph University of Beirut.

Pr. Roula Abiad

Dr. Roula Abiad is Assistant Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry at Beirut Arab University (BAU) in Beirut, Lebanon. She also works there as Director of Endodontic Division and Associate Professor of Endodontics.

Besides her numerous academic and clinical responsibilities, Doctor Abiad is the vice president of the Lebanese Society of Endodontics, she is also a member in the scientific reviewer board of the International Arab Journal of Dentistry (IAJD), Journal of Orthodontics & Endodontics, and the Journal of the Lebanese Dental Association (JLDA).

Dr. Abiad is Certified Member of the European Society of Endodontology (ESE) and a member of the ESE site viste committee for ACTA accreditation, Associate Member of the American Association of Endodontists (AAE) and Active Member of the Lebanese Society of Endodontics (LSE). Private practice in Endodontics and Restorative Dentistry. She has many publication in the endodontic education field as well as endodontic microbiology, materials and laser Doppler flowmetry.

Pr. Charbel Allam

DDS , DESE Endodontist and Oral Surgeon.

Clinical Professor at St. Joseph university school of dentistry, department of endodontics, Beirut, LEBANON.Graduated in 1983 from St. Joseph University, Beirut Lebanon. Asst. Pr. Edgard Jabbour

Pr. Edgard Jabbour is an endodontist and oral surgeon practicing in Lebanon. Pr. Jabbour has joined the Department of Endodontics at the Lebanese University in 1987. He holds a DESS in Endodontics and a Master Degree in the specialty of Oral Surgery.

He received his Doctorate in OdontoStomatology in 2010 from the Lebanese University.

He is in charge of endodontic surgery in the post-graduate program. He was Chairman of the department of endodontics for several years, and is currently chairman of the Department of Restorative/Esthetic Dentistry and Endodontics of the Lebanese Dentistry.

Pr. Jabbour is a reviewer for many international journals and author of many peer-reviewed articles.
