ETC  Basics

§ Teach  students  how  to  identify,  analyze,  assess,  design,  and  launch  new  energy  and  climate  ventures

§ Each  Quarter:  4-­5  project  teams,  20-­25  students› Build  teams  around  promising  new  techs/ideas  

§ Primarily  graduate  students,  some  undergrads

§ Multi-­Disciplinary:  ~60%  tech,  ~40%  MBA+

Geothermal Everywhere: Delivering cost effective, clean energy through innovations in geothermal energy. ETC Year 2016

Tim Latimer (MBA/MS ‘17) and Ankush Singh (PhD)

● Fervo Energy will execute a novel concept for enhanced geothermal systems –building and optimizing the first ever horizontal, multistage geothermal projects.

● Fervo has received interest from developers for pilot project sites in Idaho and Nevada.

● Advisors include SLAC and NREL personnel and experienced geothermal entrepreneurs.
