New BuildingsIECC 2015
• IECC 2015: Denver adopted the IECC 2015 code on 3/7/16, which was effective on 9/12/16.
• Pre-wiring for EV’s: single family and duplex projects are required to either provide a car charging outlet, or at least provide a conduit to the panel and leave adequate.
• Energy Drawings: Architects and engineers have to provide separate energy drawings with their projects. • Faster review of the IECC requirements allowing both
the A/E team & our reviewers to focus on the IECC criteria making it more likely that compliance will occur.
• Easier for our inspectors to review for IECC compliance.
New Buildings:Proposed refund of permit fees for
Net Zero buildings
• Possible opportunity in the future • 100% fee rebate for Net Zero buildings• 25% permit fee rebate for LEED Platinum
buildings• Hopeful to finalize this before the end of this
year or early next year.
