Governance
Leaders in Northeast Ohio’s business community are
the foundation and driving force behind the work of the
Greater Cleveland Partnership. Through their leadership,
the GCP continues to operate as one of the largest,
strongest and most unique Chambers of Commerce in
the country. Members interested in getting engaged at

Air Service Demand Task Force
When United Airlines made the decision to remove its
Hub from Cleveland Hopkins International Airport (CLE),
the GCP understood the importance of rallying the
business community together to enhance air service
at the airport in support of business growth within the
region. The Air Service Demand Task Force serves as
a resource for the development of a comprehensive
strategy to inform, educate and advocate for the
importance of investing in CLE and how its constituents
can support existing carriers as well as advocating for the
expansion of service at CLE. In addition, the Task Force
works with staff to identify policy issues affecting CLE’s
ability to manage a cost-effective airport to support
carrier expansion and opportunities to provide guidance
on the business travelers needs at CLE.

is a core priority for the GCP. Our Advocacy Team
understands governmental and legislative processes

A strong workforce means a strong economy. The GCP
is focused on education and workforce development
through several initiatives—from the establishment of a
high-performing Cleveland school system to assisting
employers by strengthening the talent pipeline and
providing the skilled workers they need.
We engage our members to learn more about their
workforce needs as well as those of the broader
business community so we can work collaboratively
to create solutions to their challenges. It is critical that
the business community leads these efforts to ensure
our community’s workforce development initiatives are
demand-driven and accurately monitor the evolving
demands of skills needed for a robust workforce.

development in our region. GCP members and

The Northeast Ohio Safety Council understands the
importance of safety within the workplace and is
dedicated to ensuring that each meeting serves as a tool
to educate members on the various ways to create and
maintain a safe working environment. It is our belief that

forefront of accident and injury prevention. The Safety
Council is focused on providing employers in Northeast
Ohio with education and resources in order to enable the
creation and maintenance of safe workplaces throughout

Governance
Leaders in Northeast Ohio’s business community are
the foundation and driving force behind the work of the
Greater Cleveland Partnership. Through their leadership,
the GCP continues to operate as one of the largest,
strongest and most unique Chambers of Commerce in

Air Service Demand Task Force
When United Airlines made the decision to remove its
Hub from Cleveland Hopkins International Airport (CLE),
the GCP understood the importance of rallying the
business community together to enhance air service
at the airport in support of business growth within the
region. The Air Service Demand Task Force serves as
a resource for the development of a comprehensive
strategy to inform, educate and advocate for the
importance of investing in CLE and how its constituents
can support existing carriers as well as advocating for the
expansion of service at CLE. In addition, the Task Force
works with staff to identify policy issues affecting CLE’s
ability to manage a cost-effective airport to support
carrier expansion and opportunities to provide guidance
on the business travelers needs at CLE.

Advocacy
Representing the voice of the business community
is a core priority for the GCP. Our Advocacy Team
understands governmental and legislative processes
and how the results can impact business. They also
understand the importance of connecting the
business community to elected officials and ensuring
that the perspectives of the businesses in Greater
Cleveland are well-represented. The GCP has many ways
that members and their employees can get involved
and engaged in the representation of the business

Education and Workforce
A strong workforce means a strong economy. The GCP
is focused on education and workforce development
through several initiatives—from the establishment of a
high-performing Cleveland school system to assisting
employers by strengthening the talent pipeline and
providing the skilled workers they need.
We engage our members to learn more about their
workforce needs as well as those of the broader
business community so we can work collaboratively
to create solutions to their challenges. It is critical that
the business community leads these efforts to ensure
our community’s workforce development initiatives are
demand-driven and accurately monitor the evolving
demands of skills needed for a robust workforce.

The Commission on Economic Inclusion is the Greater
Cleveland Partnership’s program focused on helping
Northeast Ohio employers connect the benefits of
diversity and inclusion with their bottom line. It also
works to ensure that minorities more fully participate
in the benefits of, and contribute to, economic
development in our region. GCP members and

Through OHTec, tech companies come together to
focus exclusively on their growth and talent issues.
Their involvement in governance and planning ensures
that OHTec is responsive to their needs, interests and
perspectives. OHTec also raises the profile of Ohio’s
technology industry among legislators and elected

Northeast Ohio’s manufacturing industry has and
continues to play a critical role in our economy. The GCP
works in partnership with other organizations to better

Workplace Safety
The Northeast Ohio Safety Council understands the
importance of safety within the workplace and is
dedicated to ensuring that each meeting serves as a tool
to educate members on the various ways to create and
maintain a safe working environment. It is our belief that
education and knowledge are the primary tools on the
forefront of accident and injury prevention. The Safety
Council is focused on providing employers in Northeast
Ohio with education and resources in order to enable the
creation and maintenance of safe workplaces throughout

Middle Market
The Greater Cleveland Partnership’s Middle-Market
Initiative provides resources and information to help
create and sustain long-term success for Northeast
Ohio’s middle-market companies. We’re also focused
on sparking ideas and providing connections to support
these companies’ growth strategies. While middle-
market members of the GCP have access to all events
and other engagement opportunities, the GCP has a
specific set of programs and initiatives designed for the
middle-market segment. The engagement of middle-
market members in this work is critical to ensure the
