Engaging Your Native American Families

This presentation will provide a brief overview on why engaging Native American families is important

for public school districts -highlighting the disproportionate rates of chronic absenteeism for

Native students and providing common themes as to why Native students may be experiencing these

rates. It will then go into a panel where three Title VI (Indian Education) directors share their stories and best practices of engaging Native families in school.
