Several parameters will limit the system size, and it is highly depending on the application which parameter will hit the limit first. Hence, it is difficult to give any strict system size number. It is even possible to exceed limits if other parameters are reasonably below their respective limit.
For example, more controllers may be possible if the total data flow between them, and to the server and workplace layer, is well within its limit.
Note to the speaker:Regarding the capacity of the connectivity server, performance is heavily dependent on the configuration and the machine as such.A separate server will have very high performance. Example: Separate connectivity server, 1GHz, 512Mbyte RAM gives 30 000 OPC-items/second

演示者演示文稿备注Here we have AC 800M hardware and now there are two CPU variants available. The PM856 is the new CPU and with this CPU it is possible to run applications with half of the PM860 performance. There is of course a reduced price on this controller.To this controller you have the possibility to connect S800 I/O locally via the electrical buss directly to right of the CPU or via the optical buss here (point out). To this Optical module bus you can also connect your ABB drives. Remote I/O’s you can be connected via communication modules (PROFIBUS-DP) to the left.The CPU have two build-in Ethernet and RS232 serial connections.To day we have optionally three variants of communication modules that you can connect to the left side of the CPU and we support up to six communications modules connected to the controller at the same time. Technically we can handle 12 but communication module but that is not tested in this release. Today we have PROFIBUS-DP that is used to connect our remote I/O. Of course you can connect any third party device, I/Os, instruments or what ever on PROFIBUS-DP. Then we also have the Foundation Fieldbus H1 communication module, that I will talk more about later, and additionally RS232 communication module including two extra channels/communication module.The marine certification for this controller is pending.

AC800M 控制器硬件
AC 800M控制器不包括固件在内。为了用控制软件实现控制功能, 首先必须装载固件,并用Control Builder M工程工具建立应用程序。
处理器单元由两部分组成:
• 处理器单元 PM856/PM860/PM861/PM864
• 基板 TP830
CPU板包括微处理器和RAM存储器,处理器单元还包括一个用作连接 其余S800 I/O-clusters的Modulebus光缆接口和一个用作插
CompactFlash卡的连接器
基板包括两个用于连接控制网络的RJ45以太网端口(CN1, CN2)和两 个RJ45连续断口(COM3, COM4)。其中,COM3是RS232-C用modem
控制信号,另外一个(COM4)是独立的,用作联机配置。
Modulebus接口和通讯扩展总线(CEX-bus)连接器都是安装在基板上 的。内置的Modulebus接口可以用于CPU配置,使 S800 I/O单元和基 板直接相连。CEX-bus用于扩展端口的板上通讯。

电池备份
电池备份的作用是,当系统断电时为RAM和时钟提供电
源。电池备份有两种方式:
• 使用内部电池
• 使用外部电池单元(SB821),提供更长时间的备份。
外部电池单元安装在DIN导轨上,通过现场总线与CPU连 接。

I/O 系统
有几种连接AC 800M控制器和I/O系统的方法:
通过Modulebus(仅对S800 I/O的连接)
通过CI856(仅对S100 I/O的连接)
对所有I/O系统和单元,通过PROFIBUS DP适配器和
DPV1
通过现场总线通讯接口CI830连接PROFIBUS DP
在冗余CPU配置中,S800 I/O与Modulebus只能采用光缆连
接,每个I/O-cluster连接两个TB840,每个处理器连接一 个TB840。
注意:内置的Modulebus接口不能在冗余CPU 配置中使用。

光缆连接Modulebus的ABB Drives的数量可以用下列方程
式描述:
ABB Drives 数量

PROFIBUS DP 和
CI830
在单CPU和冗余CPU配置中,ABB Drives 可以通过
PROFIBUS DP 和
CI830相互连接,Standard Drives 只能 与CI830连接。如果没有I/O 连接,每个CI830上能够连接 14个Standard Drives 。同一个CI830可以连接多个
Drives,也可以同时连接I/O单元(TB820) 和
Standard Drives。
