TRIPS• Our first stop in England was at the castle called Leeds Castle.

We really liked it there. An English guide who was very nice showed us round the castle. We learned a lot of information about the life at English castles and we could see beautiful original castle equipment. The gardens around the castle was glamorous, I have never seen so many marvelous flowers together.

TRIPS

• Then we visited port cities, for example Eastbourne where we could see the sky-blue sea and little seaside shops. I also bought a few souvenirs for my brother and for my parents in one of the shops.

• The most beautiful was Brighton where we visited a huge aquarium, full of sea species. There was also a famous pier with an amusement park where we had plenty of fun.

TRIPS• We could see a huge boat H.M.S. Victory in the port city of

Portsmouth. Inside this boat - I felt like a British sailor of the most famous naval battle of England in Trafalgar.

TRIPS• The chalk cliffs Seven Sisters where the strong wind was

blowing were very beautiful, too. It was cold and heavy sea waves kept hitting the massive rocks.

• London was the last stop on our trip to England. We could see the most famous sights there. For example London Eye, Piccadilly Circus, Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, Greenwich and many others.

FAMILY• After our arrival in the town of Worthing we had been waiting at the bus stop till

our host families came to meet us. My friend and me stayed at older English couple's. Our landlady was called Mandy and she was very nice but her husband Tom wasn't nice at all. He was such a growler. Their children didn't live with them any more because they were already adults. Mandy and Tom had a house with a all garden where their dog was running around. They called it Ben and it was Golden Retriever. We had a separate room in the house, there was a DVD player and so we could play various films.

• We made ourselves understood with Mandy very well and we could even walk the dog. One evening Mandy took a walk with us and the dog and we visited her daughter who lived with her boyfriend. Mandy was a great cook. For example she made pasta with cream sauce, grilled meat, fish and chips. All those meals were great. But one day she boiled beef with vegetables we didn't like too much. She also made excellent desserts. Even though we were staying in the host family just for one week, we were sad on our leaving. Tom was the only one who was happy. We were probably disturbing him all the time. When Tom drove us to the bus stop and he took our luggage out of his car, he grinned from ear to ear and he said: "Bye, bye!".

• It was the first time we could see him smiling.

SCHOOL

• In the afternoon we were attending an English school for foreigners. We were divided into groups according to our age and knowledge. Our group was taught by Jane, an older nice woman. I think, I have learned a lot of new words and I have improved my English language there.
