Faculty Leaders

Heidi Lannon

Heidi Lannon is an Associate Professor of Geographyat Santa Fe College. She was raised in NorthwestEurope and the Mediterranean, and is a citizen ofGreat Britain. Dr. Lannon graduated from theUniversity of Ulster in Northern Ireland, andparticipated in field work in Donegal and the ArranIslands in Ireland, and study abroad research inBrittany, France, and Malaga, Spain. She has aBachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Mastersin Coastal Management and Pubic Administration anda Ph. D. in Geography. She spent 20 years working inindustry and government prior to joining the faculty atSanta Fe College in 2008. Dr. Lannon has taughtCultural, Physical and World Regional Geography andIntroduction to Meteorology at Santa Fe College. She

has co-led study abroad trips to Costa Rica, France,Italy, Ghana, and Ecuador in addition to travelingthrough Europe, Malaysia, South Africa, Malta, Dubai,and the Philippines.

Susan Miller

Susan Miller has been in the English department at SantaFe since 1987, and for the last nine years has beendepartment chair. She spent the last year as president ofthe Association of Departments of English, an organizationof college English department chairs from all levels ofhigher education and one of two standing sub-organizations of the Modern Language Association. She isa past president of the Florida College English Association.She has traveled extensively in both Ireland and England inthe past. At Santa Fe, she has taught Honors classes inDetective Fiction and Victorian Literature, both of whichconnect to the course she will offer in conjunction with thestudy abroad trip.
