PHYSICS HOLIDAY ASSIGNMENT
TREE DIAGRAM -MOTION
A tree diagram is a new management planning tool that depicts the hierarchy of tasks and subtasks needed to complete and objective. The tree diagram starts with one item that branches into two or more, each of which branch into two or more, and so on. A Tree diagram helps you break down big concepts into progressively greater detail.
The idea here is to systematically breaking down a concept into its constituent pieces.
You would progress from left to right with the highest order items / most important
concepts on the left.
includes all the concepts like uniform& non-uniform
motion, accelerated motion, equations of motion etc.
The work should be done in your physics notebook and
Submit your work on 26th August 2021 at school.
CHEMISTRY
Matter is everything around you and a state of matter is
one of the distinct forms in which matter can exit.
Prepare a chart on the following
topics:
• Evaporation
Do it neatly in your Chemistry notebook and submit it on
26th August,2021.
Conduct a Survey on Acute and Chronic Diseases
(To be done in Project book)
The manifestations of disease will be different depending on a number of
factors. Some diseases last for only very short periods of time, and these are
called acute diseases. Eg: Common Cold, Cholera, Covid -19, etc.
Other ailments can last for a long time, even as much as a lifetime, and are
called chronic diseases. An example is the infection causing elephantiasis,
which is very common in some parts of India. Other examples are Diabetes,
Hypertension, Peptic ulcer, etc.

Si No: Name Age Sex Disease Since suffering from
Answer the following:
1. In how many people you conducted the survey?
2. How many people suffered from acute diseases during the last three months?
3. How many people newly developed chronic diseases during this same time?
4. What is the total number of people suffering from chronic diseases in the neighbourhood?
5. Are the answers to questions (2) and (3) different?
6. Are the answers to questions (2) and (3) different? 7. What do you think could be the reason for these differences?
8. How many people in your neighbourhood suffered from Covid 19 in past 3 months?
9. What is the percentage of people suffered from Covid 19 in last 3 months?
10. How many children below 18 years suffered from Covid 19 in last 3 months?
11. Suggest different ways to prevent the acute and chronic diseases.
5. Conclusion
Note: - Do the project work in the green pages of your project notebook.
Biology Holiday Homework
Make a detailed Mind map on the chapter ‘Fundamental unit of
life.’
Mind Mapping
A mind map is a tool for the brain that captures the thinking that goes on inside your
head. Mind mapping helps you think, collect knowledge, remember and create ideas.
Most likely it will make you a better thinker.
How to Make a Mind Map
Take an A4 size paper and turn to make it landscape.
Start from the centre of the page and work towards the edges.
Make the centre a clear and strong picture that shows the main point of the
map. Or use a word or two as a title. You may draw a circle around it.
For the first sub-heading or point, draw a line out from the circle in any
direction.
On this line or at the end of it, draw a picture or write a key word to show this
new point. Circle this too.
For individual facts to do with this point, draw new lines out.
Go back to the centre, to record your next sub-heading.
Your map will resemble the spreading branches or roots of a tree.
Remember:
Use only one or a few words at a time.
Use pictures or symbols. They may be better than words for you.
Use colour for different branches, ideas or links.
Think in 3-D.
Use arrows to show links between different parts.
If you run out of space, don't start a new sheet; paste more paper onto the map.
Be creative. Creativity aids memory.
Please Note:
Make a mind Map on Cell structure and function. Include all the
main concepts learnt in the chapter ‘Fundamental Unit of life’. Draw
it on an A4 size paper and should be stuck in your Biology notebook.
Submit your work on 26th August 2021 at school.
It should include:
• History of cell
• Types of cell, Description, and example
• Cell organelles and its function.
• Cell division
