Vision

Lacrosse to be recognised as a Major team Sport in England.

Mission

To promote and develop Lacrosse, in all its forms, by working with our members, stakeholders and others to ensure that opportunities exist for individuals to participate, and achieve excellence in the sport of Lacrosse.

Values

We aspire to:

Excellence: Provide a high quality experience and interaction with all our members and other parties.

Accountability: Recognise that we have clear responsibilities and commit to ethical, equitable and safe practices and challenge exclusion and poor practice.

Volunteers and professionals delivering the following:

• Participation (National Development Programme)

Introducing new and sustaining existing participation in Lacrosse:

• Recreational Clubs (National Club Expansion Programme)

Supporting and expanding the number of recreational community clubs and teams:

• Education (National Education Programme)

Supporting and expanding the number of staff, coaches, officials and administrators:

• Athlete Development (National Talent Identification and Development Programme)

Supporting and developing the number and quality of our performance athletes:

• Team England (National Squads Programme)

Supporting and developing the quality and increasing the success of our England teams:

• Services (National Services Programme)

Supporting and developing the membership services, communication, competitions, events, image, partnerships and funding for Lacrosse.

Key Organisational Actions

To increase the number of people playing the game more often by:

• Providing a range of playing opportunities and programmes which are attractive to a wide range of people.• Continuine to extend the robust and wide ranging community club network working to develop new players.• Extending the school, college and university network to develop new players.• Developing a robust and extensive recreational playing network.• Developing the ability to resource the growth of the game through effective deployment of volunteers supported by staff.

To increase the number of volunteers, coaches and officials providing a better standard to all participants by:

• Providing support and training for volunteers at all levels of the game.• Increasing the number of coaches and officials being qualified and active at all nationally recognised levels.• Ensuring deployment through the ‘’right person, right place, right time” strategy.• Developing the world’s best coaches capable of producing world class players and championship winning teams.• Developing the world’s best officials capable of officiating at world class level.

Communications:

• Ensuring timely and appropriate communications , linked into our membership services packages, which are relevant to all our membership groupings and lacrosse enthusiasts.• Ensuring modern communication techniques are fully utilised.
