English & Urdu Text : Khalid IqbalPresentation : Shoaib Sobani

She came from a famous women’s college of Karachi. She entered the precincts ofDow with self-assurance, decorum, overwhelming outlook and a “thunderous” lifestyle. A staunch and vociferous supporter of Jamiat throughout her College days.Nobody could dare to see her with crooked eyes. “Wayward boys” were disciplinedby her in a graceful and firm way. She was an outspoken “sergeant” always readyfor action.

She was Farzana Saeed who spoke Urdu, Punjabi and English with equal fluency.Sincere to the core and friend of friends, she managed her time well between thedemands of academics and social activities. She became Farzana Choudhary afterbidding farewell to Dow and settled in the United States where she became aPediatrician. Currently she runs her own practice in upstate New York.

Farzana is a reckoned personality in the religious and social circles in her currentabode. Blessed with a million dollar family (a boy and a daughter) and a supportivehusband, she has been consistently balancing her professional and domesticresponsibilities flawlessly. She has been a regular visitor to Pakistan and is still thesame upright and upfront person with spontaneity of expression. Never keepingmalice for anybody… would utter whatever she felt right without any arrogance orprejudice. If Farzana is in the room you would know!!!

Dear Farzana, congratulations on being selected as personality of the week. Fortunately I was in same group, along with Baber Hameed, Shahab Javed, Sibte, Aquila, Riffat, and (late)Nahid. Farazana was our group leader,in every sense, as she was very caring to all of us. Jab kabhiclinical side ka `tulla` marte to agle din Farzana ki bharpur `dant` sun-ni party. Woh ek nidar be-bak, aur dusron ka khayal rakhne wali sakhsiyat ki malik hein. Allah use hamesha khushrakhkhay. AMEEN.

Dear farzana ek nazam kay teen misray aap ke liye; woh ies college ki shehzadi thi aurshahana parhti thi woh be-bakana aati thi, woh be-bakana parhti thi baray mushkil sabaqthay jin ko woh rozana parhti thiHashmani

Thanks Shoaib for another valiant effort. Dr Farzana Choudhry,Gustaqi Muaf... Jaan ki amaan paoon to arz karoon, I like F.C. Pumpkin better....your email name, it has a ring to it. I am sure you are probably nicer than what has been written about you. Would love to hear from you on this forum. You have been way too quiet lately...which, from what I hear, is not like you. So come out wielding your baton, I will try to duck, if I can.Bashir
