Nitron offers the highest riding feel in all situations in which one machine encounters throughout its life.
For instance, the shock having a potential equal to racing spec. can be used comfortably for touring and
city ride too. In order to realize such rider’s“true”wish, NITRON has kept three basics since its establishment.
Adjustability, Material, Low FrictionAdequate adjustable range and accurate adjustment. Thoroughly designed low friction technology in order to transmit
the traction instantly to the road by responding rider’s motion. And the best materials to support low friction and
the adjustability. When all these basics are integrated at high level, racing quality NITRON defines becomes practical.
All NITRON shocks delivered in Japan are tested by shock dyno (right photo) when
the shocks are built (except NTR R1 series). NITRON Japan carries out dyno test
(NTR R3=4 positions, NTR R2=3 positions) when assembly is completed in order
to check if damping quality NITRON requires is obtained. The graph shows the
damper test of NTR-R1 series of YZF-R1. (Green CL: Hardest CH: Softest REB:
Softest/ Blue: CL: Hardest CH: Default setting REB: Default setting/Pink CL:
Default setting CH: Default setting REB: Default setting) The test is repeated

UTILIZING THE MATERIALS MAXIMALLY FOR CONSISTANCE OF FUNCTION AND DESIGN
EXTREMELY LOWERED FRICTION ENABLES ULTRA SMOOTH START IN MOTION
Independent adjuster has accurate controls in every scene by
utilizing the wide adjustability which can be called compilation
of NITRON’s technologies. High & low compression and
rebound adjustment are all independent. Thus accurate control
can be made to fit various conditions. Moreover, each click is
adjusted to have equal interval. Those are reasons why NITRON

Rigidity, durability, heat radiation performance, weight, and
flexibility in designing. Those factors indispensable for building
shock absorbers derive the aluminum material necessarily.
The aluminum materials made by precise machining are distinct
feature of NITRON. As many aluminum parts as possible are
utilized for the body. Also Nitron thoroughly insists on proper
materials and proper processes for damper rod and spring.
Consequently, next generation quality in function and in design
the highest ever can be obtained.
Tough but supple low friction technology constantly provides the
best traction and smooth movement which is lifeline of shock
absorber. NITRON uses the material containing PTFE (Teflon) for
all sliding parts such as shaft bush and piston ring to minimize
“*stiction”. Mono shock body tube is drawn 11 times and then
finished by honing in order to obtain tough and precise low
friction surface. Advanced low friction technology is also applied

The parts made from the best aluminum materials and the precise machining completely differ in function and in design compared to conventional products.
NITRON MONO ShockNTR R3 Series
NITRON uses an unique 2 way compression
adjuster. For low speed, conventional needle is
utilized and tension spring for high speed. Both high
speed adjuster and low speed adjuster are
completely independent. This adjustment system
necessitates shock dyno. This proves the
preciseness of the system. The system provides a
broad adjustability, 18 clicks for low speed and more
than 16 clicks for high speed. (In NTR / ADV R2 Series equips 1 way adjuster)
Machined aluminum top cap is distinctive feature of
NITRON. Machined aluminum material provides high
quality, light weight, and functional beauty. End eye
uses precise spherical bearing. The bearing reduces
friction and retains rigidity.
Light weight and high rigidity seamless aluminum
body tube is applied. Inside tube is precisely
processed by 1/100mm. And the surface is
anodized to retain high durability. In addition to the
preciseness and high durability, high heat radiation
performance is maintained. Thread pitch on
preload adjuster is intentionally widened to
increase heat radiation.
Spring is colored beautifully in turquoise blue which
is NITRON’s image color. (Either turquoise or black
is available for Twin Shocks) The spring material is
chrome silicone steel which is best for suspension
spring. The spring retains high tension and high
durability indispensable for motorcycle spring.
Spring rate can be selected from plentiful lineup to
meet tough demands from the riders such as use
for racing.
Height adjusting system is Can be use in most
NITRON shocks. Adjustable range changes
depends on each bike. Height can be adjusted to
balance bike posture or to suit rider’s preference. (Not available for some in lineup)
Same as body tube, the material for reservoir is
aluminum material. The surface is anodized to
maintain high durability. Gas chamber has a free
piston equipping Teflon band to reduce friction.
Polished hard chrome plated damper rod is
applied. Shaft bush uses selected Teflon
material. It drastically reduces the friction
generated by damper rod stroke.
NTR / ADV R3, NTR / ADV R2 Series

It enables completely independent rebound
adjustment to respond more rider’s requirements.
The material used for rebound adjuster is machined
and anodized aluminum. Provided adjustment is 24
clicks. (MONO Shock)
Continuous variable adjusting preload adjuster is
applied to all NITRON shocks. TWIN / MINI
shocks equip stop screw as standard to prevent

we entered into a partnership together NITRON headquarter in the UK to achieve the ideal, although NITRON
was unknown in Japanese market at the time. We think must create domestic specification that very match
with Japanese people to provide NITRON high performance as long-life, certainly around Japanese riders.
Therefore we operate “Assembled in Japan” system, it meaning to assemble domestically NITRON products on whole process.

As a result, we have done original lowering kit (rear shock absorber and fork spring set) for old bike that popular for long time.

The data come from standard suspension and our experience are combined together, make a prototype, ahead to the riding test. We repeat tests and re-build in constant pursuit for the best suspension. In our test, wide range of riders do it. For example a staff who rides just for enjoy, also there is a professional rider in former days who have much racing experience. The test continue till find out the best settings for every purpose, street, winding road additionally do sport-riding on circuit.
The testing data are controlled by computing and shared together NITRON. We can do all of tests in Japan, we have a right to decide the final specification. To develop the suspension for Japanese riders by Japanese, this is the advantage and difference obviously than other aftermarket suspension.

The name came from playing child on pig’s back. Now it means carrying bag on back. NITRON shock also carries the tank on top. Thus this name is applied.

NITRON FULL LINEUP LIST
PIGGYBACKSeparated tank is connected by hose. NITRON original banjo joint drastically improves the arrangement for fitting.
HOSE
If your machine is found, in most cases 3 types (Series) are available for MONO / TWIN shock. 2 types are available for MINI shock.
RACE PRO / R3 / R2 Series equip remote reservoir tank. Style of remote tank differs by bikes. In most cases the style will be fixed in accordance with design of brake.

For inner tube, gold titanium and black DLC coated tube having strictly controlled quality are applied. Hardening the surface to increase wear resistance, low friction is maintained at the same time.
NITRON’s unique 2 way compression adjuster is applied in order to ensure controlling 2 systems, low speed and high speed. “Hand Adjuster Dial” is equipped. No tool is needed to adjust. Excellent adjustability and accurate easy adjustment are fascinating. Fork bottom is made by forging insisting on strength. After forging, it is precisely machined to provide high texture.
Outer tube is made through elaborate drawings. The tube maintaining preciseness and strength is just an art. Two types of coatings are available, bronze or black Kashima coat which has high lubricity and high rigidity.
Top bolt placed near cockpit uses machined aluminum insisting on beauty and utility to appeal to rider’s emotion. Like compression adjuster, “Hand Adjuster Dial”is equipped enabling to adjust rebound without tool. All functions for preload adjuster are concentrated on top bolt. NITRON’s unique system is applied so that the dimension of the adjuster remains the same even when adjustment is made not affecting other components’ dimension.
Inner components have super low friction parts in order to provide excellent feel of movement.
Fork seal uses SKF known as low friction seal. It has an excellent match to inner tube. It successfully reduces the friction by 75% maximally compared to conventional seal. It still maintains high durability in spite of its low friction.

SLFS (SUPER LOW FRICTION SYSTEM)The low friction technology plays indispensable roll in the movement of the front fork. In order to obtain super low friction, NITRON develops the product based on
the concept of “Super Low Friction System” in which many factors are maximally balanced. As many sliding parts as possible including outer tube have
ultra-hard anodizing Kashima-coat which provides outstanding performance. In addition titanium coat / DLC coat which excel in durability and in low-friction are
applied to inner tube. Further SKF fork seal which maximizes the performance of titanium coated / DLC coated inner tube with its unique self-lubricating effect
is applied. SKF fork seal evaluated highly worldwide reduces the friction by 75% compared to conventional fork seal. Moreover all the technologies related to
low friction which NITRON has developed until now are generously applied through longstanding test in order to fix the point where synergistic effect of each
factor can be drawn to the maximum.

Hydraulic Preload Adjuster (HPA)
Logo and sign for rotating direction are cool leaser etch. Compact design integrated HPA can preload adjusts by a tool.46mm model has laser etched logo also on preload body.
This is able to equip as option on Nitron Mono shock. The adjuster enables to change the setting quickly for tandem
or baggage loading. It can also add approximately 10mm spring preload than standard setting. The whole adjuster body
is made from high quality cut aluminum to gain durability and rigidness as same as shock body. In addition,
Nitron logotype leaser etch is applied on grip body and on preload body (only RACE PRO / ADVENTURE Series).
Moreover, one side of hose-end rotates 360 degree to fit the bike easily although no specific fitting space.
Obtain both function and aesthetic design in HPA too, that’s Nitron philosophy to provide high-quality products.There are 2 type of installing grips, install on a bike itself and another one fixed on a reservoir tank. Please see website or ask us more details.

EQUIPS 3 WAY DAMPING ADJUSTER ENSURING TO RESPOND TO EVERY CONDITION. PERSUES NEW POSSIBILITY OF TWIN SHOCKS.It’s a high spec. twin shock released by NITRON. Like MONO shock NTR R3 series, the shock equips full
spec damping adjuster, 2 way (low/high) for compression and 1way for rebound. The shock utilizes as many
machined aluminum parts as possible. In addition to beautiful appearance, the shock maintains such the
high performance as lightness and high heat radiation pursuing new potential of shock absorber.
Compression damping system adopts needle and belleville disk system*1 which is common to NITRON
MONO Shock series as wide adjustability and accurate damping adjustment by click adjuster. Rebound
damping system applies super low resistance one way valve*2 and round style damping needle which has
been completed through longstanding development in order to have both complete independent adjustment
and accuracy equivalent to compression adjustment. The damping feel provided by radical low friction
technology, advanced adjustability, and ultra-light aluminum body leads the rider to the highest ever level.*1 Spherical spring. With its thickness, combinations, and preload, damping force can be changed.*2 NITRON has been adopting shim style one way valve to improve oil flow. Because movement at low speed range is more significant for twin shocks, special technic is added to improve the oil flow more.
COORDINATE 2 TYPES OF SPRING WITH 3 TYPES OF THEME COLORNITRON TWIN Shock R3 series have had first minor change after 7 years since its debut. Reservoir tank has been enlarged in order to stabilize
oil temperature during riding. 3 color variations are available to select from the theme colors, titanium, gold, and black*3. For spring, either back or
turquoise, NITRON color can be chosen. Total 6 patterns are available to select in accordance with machine’s image or coordination. *3 parts, upper collet, bottom collet, and reservoir tank cover can be changed to theme colors. Colors for following parts are common: High speed compression adjuster=black, rebound adjuster=black, Low speed compression adjuster=silver, sticker=turquoise. It’s a real minibike racing shock which is the re-make of NITRON MONO shock basically designed for big bike. NTR R3 series equips
NITRON’s unique full spec. independent 3 way adjuster to enable to respond to rider’s various demands in various racing fields.
Of course, it utilizes as many machined aluminum parts as possible in order to maintain heat radiation and rigidity. Under harsh race scene,
it keeps supplying stable damping quality. Assuming to be used for race,
it has 3 spring rate variations, 18kg/mm (NSF100: 19kg/mm) as standard,
including 19kg/mm and 20kg/mm.The spring can be selected at standard price

bike comfortably. In the development of NITRON lowering suspension kit lowdown rear shock
and lowdown fork spring have been developed simultaneously. In addition sufficient lowdown
is given. Lowering down without changing linkage lever ratio enables lowdown without
spoiling the performance. Installation of NITRON lowering suspension kit requires knowledges and experiences. It is recommended installation is done by specialized shop.

NITRON applies a complete domestic in-house assembly (Assembled in Japan) and stocks almost all parts in Japan. The factory model is build utilizing the merit of the in-house assembly. NITRON has been spent a numerous amount of time in handling the current lineups as well as new models by utilizing plentiful knowledge and experience. However, it’s impossible to cover all the machines existing in the world. Then NITRON receives machine or shocks from customer to measure the dimension and check damping. After comprehending the shocks’characteristic enough, NITRON builds shocks. In addition, lowdown for lineup models can be build. (Please refer to P30 for more detail) NITRON takes pains in order to satisfy the rider’s everlasting passions for his machine. If the shock doesn’t exist in lineup, we build it. Original model having a complete one-off frame or fully customized machine, especially the machine with changed link ratio due to modified swing arm often can’t balance normal or conventional shocks. At NITRON customer can customize shock length, stroke, spring rate, and hose length. In addition, when shock is built using regular components, the price remains the same as the regular lineup. Order can be placed by sending order sheet by fax (+81-48-733-9056). Order sheet can be downloaded on our HP (download page on www.nitoron.jp). Customers can also bring bike to us. Although NITRON shock absorber is built using the highest
materials and oils, it’s unavoidable that the performance will
decline due to deterioration of oil, decompression of gas, and
wear of sliding parts. Because all NITRON shocks have
completely module structure, periodical maintenance and
modify can be provided in accordance with customers’
requests. Once purchased, NITRON shock continues to be used
by replacing and refining the parts to fit the new bike even if the
customer change the bike. It’s a policy of British born NITRON
shock absorber, “use a good product for a long time”. Along
with a long 3 year warranty, NITRON supports your bike-life.
NITRON recommends to provide periodical maintenance once every 10,000km for street use, or once every season for racing use. All maintenances can be provided at NITRON Japan service center. Dedicated staff who is periodically trained at NITRON U.K. services your shock. Please let us service your shock.

In 1998 NITRON was established in Witney, Oxford, the United Kingdom.
It is to celebrate 20th anniversary and insisting on absolute originality
and high performance NITRON is surely winning popularity and gaining

Shock absorber controls many of machine’s physical abilities. Integrating with the machine, requirements
for motorcycle shock absorber varies greatly according to rider’s physique and riding style.
From this point of view, Guy Evans, CEO, the founder of NITRON RACING SYSTEM (NITRON U.K.)
completely denies the mass-produced shocks which are universal for all riders. Therefore,
all NITRON shocks are basically BTO (built to order). The basic stance was succeeded to
NITRON JAPAN which started official import since 2005. NITRON JAPAN adopts the assembling method
called “Assembled in Japan” which ensures a complete domestic in-house assembly.
That is extraordinary for the imported aftermarket shock absorber. Each shock absorber is built based
on rider’s request by Japanese engineers for the Japanese riders.
Furthermore, NITRON is eager to develop products for Japanese market.
GUY EVANS frequently visits Japan to learn Japanese motorcycle culture in order to design
advanced shock absorbers which suit Japanese market. The typical examples are NITRON TWIN shock
and NITRON FRONT FORK (NTF43 Conventional R3 Series). Those products have been developed
collaborating with NITRON JAPAN and released exclusively in Japan.
Regarding activities in races, NITRON devotes in both motorcycle and car races.
A sidecar equips NITRON won British F1. In 2019 also they won many rounds.
Beside, BLOODHOUND (it is dedicated car to update the speed recode, runs as over 1200km/h).
also uses NITRON. It tested under incredibly harsh environment with very high desert temperatures
